  • might want to be employed

For those who work at Disneyland what times do you end your shift at? What time do they allow you you to end your shift to end at? I am considering to work at Disneyland but I havn't apply yet but I am still thinking whether is it feasible to work their if commuting by train is feasible...right now I am looking at metrolink routes and studying them because I am clueless how to "transfer" station to different stations...

You pretty much work when Disney needs you to work. Everybody is different.

It depends on your hire area. I commute all the way from Palm Springs to and from work at Disney. My manager even uses me as a example in Welcome TO Park Ops to let people know that he has a employee who travels 2 hours to work and is never late. So it depends. All I can say is you do not want to be late as we are on a point system and a tardy will give u a point and a half.
As for when you get off work you get a 20 minute WALK TIME meaning that if your shift ends at 11pm you will actually clock out at 10:40pm so you have the time to go to costuming if you need to or do what you need to do to get to your area of transportation.
As far as requesting shifts it doesnt happen when you first come on board at Disney you will work what they schedule you to work and new hires are generally nights and weekends til closing. You can work your way up to full time in less than 6 months if you have EXCELLENT work ethics. So I wish you luck but I would recommend you not apply til you have RELIABLE transportation, DISNEY is a great place to work for and you dont want to be let go in your first 4 months of probation due to transportation. =) HAVE A MAGICAL DAY.

        I think I made up my mind...I don't think I shouldn't apply :[
I refuse to drive down to Anaheim with a car every week driving for two hours and spending most of my paycheck toward gas! Plus the metro link is my only option to comumute and I am not satisfied that I have limited work hours because of departing time if i did train commute! I would be happy to work at disneyland and having LONG work hours even if it means if my feet become sore LOL and work at least 3 days every week and 7 days a week when I am on college break

UGH I wish I could just land on a job already! My area I live in seem so hard to find and land don a job! Even simple jobs is so hard to land on!

Apply at disney store near you. You can still work for disney that way. And it would be closer.

NOT every CM works till Park closings.

You guys seem to forget there's the Travel company which is located in Anaheim also. We open at 7:50(for the most part) and close at 8 or 9pm, I cant remember which.

What did you guys get for thanksgiving in the park? This is what we got on Tuesday. Pizza from Domino's and subway grinders, soda and chips all for free. ON wednesday the Marriott came in and gave us Turkey and ham, about 5 different pies, a Waldorf salad, and a general type salad, along with some fixings and stuff to make sandwich's with. IT WAS GREAT

So our area is NOT typical from what I've heard from CM that have come over from the park, so if you want to apply to Disney go ahead, and enjoy your time. Remember though Disney ISN'T for everyone, I know of 3 people already who ahve worked in the park who have quit already lol.

I think I should reconsider my decision again...lol
If i can work at least a maximum of 13 hours( I would prefer a maximum of 16 hour every3-7 days) of at least a minimum of 3 days or more I wouldn't mind then but knowing they will provide you a schedule and expect you to come and work on those days and hour make me fear I will not make it to my second departure (Lancaster) and only make it to my first departure (Los Angeles)
