In Park Cast Member Perks???

Working ODV we always got free soft drinks? WHY???
What other PERKS did fellow Cast Member's get while working in the Parks?
Attractions?
Custodial?
Characters?
Etc....??

Because ODV is in the Foods department and there's something in the Union contract that demands that you get free soda. If you look at some other food places like Jack in the Box, they get free soda too.

Actually, perks for me were being in the park really late, like 2am and seeing it with no one else around, going where ever you feel like going (including the ballroom of HM- best night of my life!) seeing the fireworks and fantasmic everynight and getting to know the park really well because I worked all over.

Oh and I got to climb the matterhorn (inside, not out)- second best night of my life!

actually we dont get to get free fudge anymore.....sometimes you do only if your leads buy it for you......but u can get free samples.....but also in stores, if you usually pay in cash we give each other a better discount....like if you are an A, we would give you a B discount.....

for stores, left over coffee if your working there, since the machine has to be emtpied out and cleaned anyways.

Occasionally sometimes free fudge too, but it's far from a sure bet.

The term "cast member perks" obviously went out with the horse and buggy. The only one you might get is the fact that you can MAYBE have a job, but you always have to worry if you'll have it tomorrow.

LOL child you must be new, I just quit recently. If you know the stock people, you get free fudge. LOL as well the dipped cherries and strawberries. If your down in Pooh Corner, you usually get cookies and fudge as well as other things from the girls dipping the treats. Or maybe I just had friends in the right places MUHAHAHAHAHA

Some leads turn away when you do things like that, but there are many more who stick to their guns and will report you, start an investigation, which leads to a temporary suspension and then termination. And this can grant you a no-rehire status. Just a helpful note.

It's in the foods contract that you get free soft drinks at your location, and since ODV has no set location, you get them at all of the 'star dinerz.'

I think I should've clarified that my comment was mostly supposed to be about the discount situation. Giving a CM that's A status a B discount is a terminable offense and considered discount abuse. As for the fudge, apparently that's your management's discretion. I once asked about that once, when I closed at a candy location, why all the strawberries and other items (apples, etc.) that were MOS'd just dumped into the trash. If anything, I felt that what they couldn't sell the next day could at least be donated to a food bank if it was salvagable. Apparently, just like taking a partially broken item from the trash compactor that's already been MOS'd, it's still considered stealing. :/

Invader do you work on the eastside? It does depend on who you talk to, some let you some dont, but the reason they cant be sold is because its a health issue. We used to MOS everything then eat it only after asking stock if it was ok or the managers. The reason that this rule was put in place was because cast was breaking things just to eat them at the end of the night or MOSing good things saying they were bad.

I like receiving neat cast member tokens...recently besides the ultra cool Buzz Lightyear cup with the tickets, I love the 50th fun fact booklet, which resembels the E ticket coupon book...and I can't wait for the trading cards set, and tickets to see the parade and the fireworks!!
