Wonder if anyone can verify whether this story is true or false. Probably 15 years ago the park started selling fresh fruit (apples and bananas) on Main Street which I thought was a good idea.

I had friends who worked in the warehouse at the time who told me that Eisner's wife owned apple orchards in Washington state and she had an exclusive contract to supply the park with only their apples.

True, still do and in some other places in the park. I don't know about Eisner's wife though. I'd assume that's a rumor.

U. S. Foodservice supplies the food for the parks. I was their Marketing Manager and I know we did the fruit.

Thanks!...that settles it. I never did believe the tale but the warehouse kids swore that it was true.
