  • hiring question.

if a person quits disney and then attends a character audition 3 months later, do they have a chance of being hired even though there is a 6 month period where they say you won't be rehired?

There's a chance they can't hire you. But then again, beggars can't be choosers

Obviously, they would have preferred you wait till the transfer period, then attend auditions, but given how desperate every department is, who knows if they'd even let you go, you know?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Your best bet is to just stay hired by the company with a good attendance record and performance record, etc. and then go to auditions on Saturday mornings (really as many as you like) and transfer from there.

But if entertainment really wants you, they'll have you no matter what.

Although it's really better not to push your luck. There could be someone in the audition who's just as good as you, but has no other issues with the company.

Are you thinking of leaving already? You just started! Any problems? Just curious!

For a fact unless you can swallow fire and cause lightning storms with a blink of an eye. your chances are null. stay inside and do what mel mel says.

I quit Disney my 2nd week there when they were giving me 30+ hours a week and scheduling me until 1:30am on schol nights.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, I know how much you looked forward to working at DL! Call someone in Casting as far as how long you have to wait for auditions....might help.

EagleWings, I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope you can get in the department you ultimately want.

                          No, she's 18.

It's not whether or not a student is in high school, but whether or not they are minors which makes the difference.

High school graduation was more important to me than working Disneyland even though I loved it. There's no reason to work people 12 hour shifts 5 days a week when there are so many people there to work.

I must say you made the right choice EagleWings. there is nothing more importanat then your education right now. Don't sacrifice your education for a $8.00 (sorry $8.25) / hour job.

You will have plenty of time when you will have to work when you get out of HS. I'm glad you enjoyed being a CM while you were there. Maybe in a few months, once school is out, you can go back if you want.

But as you have seen, maybe working at DL while going to school (I mean college too) isn't the best idea right now...
