  • Tagging?

Really? I haven't seen tagging backstage as per Al's article. Anyone seen any?

    Re: Tagging?

I have all over. I have put in numerous work orders for the tagging I have seen in bathrooms, on the walls of the stairs leading up from the diner on the mirrors in backstage areas...... its really bad

I guess it just gets taken care of too quickly for me to see it, thanks to you, no doubt!

I've seen it too, in fact - we've had to make signs in our workplace saying "please do not write or doodle on your workstations, mousepads, chairs, etc."

i see it occasionally, mostly in the story book area. Funniest one i saw was in the storybook break room, someone put a "bad word" with an arrow pointed at the CDS computer, and 3 small world leads trying to wash it off.

I only use bathrooms that only our Cast Members use (and rarely a few Guests) so I haven't seen it myself yet. Wouldn't surprise me, but it still sucks just the same.

Makes me a very sad Cast Member.

There was a surge of hateful tagging episode in the parade building but it wasn't some "lowered hiring standards hooligan" it was someone with very intolerant of other people's beliefs and lifestyles

All I've noticed in the DCA work areas I frequent is tagging/scratching on the mirrors, and that's bad enough. That and people who can't aim worth beans.

I'd hate to think that they are that disgusting in their own homes. It's like dogs messing in their own beds and food; I mean, people, these are OUR facilities! I don't like standing in my own pee; I sure as hell don't want to stand in yours.

Take a good look at the trams from K-lot. They have grafiti on practically every one.

The bathroom behind the hungry bear restaurant has racist symbols scrawled over it as well.

Disgusting. I guess that 'tolerance' film in Traditions didn't get through. I hate that kind of crap more than just about anything.

I haven't noticed it on the trams; now I'm sure I won't be able to miss it.

Was "tolerance" the one with the delivery guy hitting on the receptionist?
                        They still use that?

                          Re: Tagging?

heres a solution to the tagging/grafitti/vandalism problem: put up security cameras in backstage. and have a three strikes law

first offense: $200 fine and the damage has to be repaired
second offense: $500 fine and 3 months suspension(to start after the damage is repaired)
third offense:buh bye!!!!!!!!!!!(the damage has to be repaired first)

                            Doubt that can work.

Companies can't really fine anyone. They could theoretically deduct from your pay for actual damages and repairing is not the provence of the person at fault because those tasks are themselves probably union based.

Might require some form of formal procedure though, not just someone's word, pictures or no.

Enforcement would be subject to union contract, procedures.

Just firing someone would be simplest.
