  • The Disneyland Resort Cast Shuttle

it has been spotted off the 91 Freeway. Anyone seen it?? Anyone know what's going on? I would assume that is where they store the shuttle at night, but it would seem that the shuttles run 24/7. As I was going down the 91 Freeway towards Long Beach, I think we were going West, I looked out my window and saw a white shuttle with a red strip across it and it said, "Disneyland Resort Cast Shuttle" and went, "So, THAT is where they go at night!!

    Thoughts, comments, questions, concerns?

Re: The Disneyland Resort Cast Shuttle

I wonder if there are suttles that transport castmembers that live in Anaheim to and from work. Probably unlikely. However, how nice it would be if Disney Disney actually cared about CM's enough to help out with their transportation needs - especially in view of gad prices.

Disney has other facilities in Anaheim; it doesn't make sense that they would store them off-site. I thought they parked them right next to the K-Lot office.

Also note that Empire should be removing the old decals if they haven't already.

As long as they put SOME sort of decal on. Plain white buses are ugly.

I think they're still working out which busses they're going to use. They purchased only a small amount of the fleet which were CNG operated, but Disney still wants the new provider to have all their busses clean fuel operated as soon as possible. Not sure what control or if it's contracted somewhere- but the info came from a driver who left with SuperShuttle. I didn't like being advertised when I was on the way to work but then again- to those who remember when the shuttles first started, that fleet was a blessing compared to the decker busses, short busses, the 'therapy' bus, I even remember seeing a white school bus driving through the lot (though I never found out if that bus was actually shutteling CM's). Ah good times...

Yea, K-Lot refers to the employee parking lot off Katella and Clementine.

                                    hah...KCML..There's another one..

sooooo with all the talk about Katella Lot (KCML) and because of a friend who still works at the Resort- I was thinking...

I'm concerned about the Gardenwalk. Cast Members might find it a great 'watering' hole for them after their shifts. Cheesecake opens on 12/3 and the rest of the front Restaurants shortly later. And that's just the beginning- If you don't know what the Gardenwalk will have in store- go to the Gardenwalk Site- click Leasing Plans, then download the link attached to the floorplan photo- the whole thing is nearly occupied..

You can see the possibilty of a LOT of CM's walking from Harbor Pointe to the Gardenwalk, getting tanked, and then going to KCML. Or even taking the shuttle to KCML and walking across the street. If you're one of those people with that lovely plan- remember that KCML is Company Property- and you must be sober to enter. Just be smart- and don't think they're not all over this already.

All this comes to mind because of a friend who was telling me he overheard another Cast Member takling about going to Joe's for a drink after work. The other person complained of the idiocy of driving just to park 150' away, and they concluded to walk out of the lot and come back after dinner. Folks- this is a no-no plain and simple. I'm sure it will surface topics of Roll Call's in the coming months...

                                    Happy Hunting...

Hope this doesn't sound too "elitist", but sometimes I think it'd be great to have a CM-only lounge... if only so we could discuss our jobs without having to explain it to everyone all the time.
