Earning My E-Ticket in 10 words or more.

As you can tell by my post count, I love to talk, or in this case post. I am trying to earn my E-Ticket and it is a slow process. So I decided that I need a place to do some serious posting. A place that that will help me get closer to my goal. You are welcome to join me at any time. Interrupt me. Join me in a conversation, or ignore me if you like. I have given this thread only one rule.

    10 words or more.

Walt Disney was born in my home city of Chicago, Illinois, in the year 1901.

I was 50 years old before I ever made it to a Disney Theme Park.

In 1997 Disney World was a whole lot different than the place it is today.

My husband was especially impressed with the boats that transported guests across the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Seeing Disney World, for the first time with a 4 year old, made the trip so much more enjoyable.

My husband won't go back to Walt Disney World, because he hates airline travel, but my grandson, who is now approaching his 20th birthday still enjoys his visits. It looks like he will be joining me when I return in April.

Time for a picture. When I went to Disney World, in 1997, for the very first time. Magic Kingdom's Castle was a Cake.

Over the years here at MiceChat people have been accused of posting one word posts, just to raise their post count. The phrase, quality over quantitly soon was heard more than my ears could bear.

I like cake, especially with creamy, rich frontings on top.

So Magic Kingdom threw a big party back in 1997, because they were turning 25.

Actually, I think the party started in 1996, and extended to the end of 1997.

Magic Kingdom officially opened in 1971, I believe. That was the same year that my 2nd son was born.

Walt Disney World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney... and to the talents, the dedication, and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney's dream come true. May Walt Disney World bring Joy and Inspiration and New Knowledge to all who come to this happy place ... a Magic Kingdom where the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn — together.
