Bluesky Ride Overlay Challenge Game thingy

After seeing some of the fun game threads here on Mice Chat, I thought I would try one of my own.

Disney theme parks are using overlays to celebrate special events and holidays.

- Haunted Mansion Holiday at both TDL and DL, Ghost Galaxy make over of Space Mountain at HKDL, Small World Holiday at TDL and DL, One parade at DLP had multiple themes: regular, princess, villain, Halloween, Christmas, Country Bear Jingle Bell Jamboree/Holiday show, etc.

This is our chance to challenge fellow Mice Chatters to bluesky some new and possibly strange ride/show overlays.

1) You have to take the post above which list an ATTRACTION/SHOW/ETC. and a HOLIDAY OR CHARACTER/MOVIE and write a title and/or quick description. This is bluesky idea where the skies the limits.

2) Post a NEW COMBINATION for the next poster.


I'll start...

Incredibles + Space Mountain

An overlay where the Parr family must go into space to stop and evil alien villain. For Halloween it could be a space vampire or witch.

Jungle Cruise + Easter

In this Holiday overlay the easter bunny is lost in the jungle. On your quest to find him with the clues he left, you visit the Enchanted Elephant pool where the 'phants are singing "April Showers", Schweitzer Falls dying easter eggs, the native village is dressed in easter bonnets and singing what else "Easter Parade". Finally you find the Easter bunny at the end wishing you a happy easter.

As you enter the queue to Big Thunder, speakers blare patriotic music, in reverse chronological order. Ride hosts garb now includes red and white striped bandanas. The trains have been given stars and stripes overlays (peel 'em off when it's over) and flags on the train nose - the goat has himself a fire cracker he's chawin' on - as you pass specific points in the ride, fireworks blast off (you know, the stage pyrotechics - low risk). At night, red, white and blue lights grace the mountains.....

Let's see...

Join an expidition to recover lost treasures from the sea floor. Upon navigating into a dense bed of kelp, your submarine makes it's way into a cave filled with an ecelectic collection of artifacts from various sunken ships, including a box of thingamabobs, and a variety of whoits and whatsits...your sub startles the occupants of the cave, a singing mermaid, scolding crab, and a blue and yellow fish. The mermaid hurries you out as she hears her father approaching...and as you sail away, you are buffeted by an explosion, and several of the artifacts are blasted past you, including the face from that rather nifty looking statue the mermaid was quite taken with....


Now let's try Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Back to School....

Its a Small World + International Talk Like a Pirate Day

A special event in September will bring in millions of visitors to Disneyland for a new ride overlay....for one month only....

Pirates of the Small World

Jack Sparrow invades the "Happiest Cruse to Ever Sail" as the charming voyage becomes a second version of Pirates of the Caribbean with a darker more scary edge.

The once white. blue and gold show building has been enhanced with rotting timbers and the skull and crossbones.

Entering the show building we see a cute version of Davey Jones as he tries to kill happy kids who foolishly continue to sing and dance. But Captain Jack Sparrow soon is shown as he surrounds by beautiful doll-child-people as they sing about has wonderful he is. Each time Jack Appears he has less clothes on as 45 year old production designer Ellie Sanders explains.

"We know what our customers want, and in the re-vamped Pirates of the Caribbean I found the Jonny Depp...er...Jack Sparrow character to have too much close on. Now the happiest voyage that ever sailed is even more happy" said Ms. Sanders as she looked up sadly with a long sigh.

Later in the ride the pirates have enslaved all the doll-people-children and the pirates make them work in mines digging out gold. Here the audience will actually smell burning embers and flesh as well as be able to feel the screams with a new audio system called "scream-around-audio".

The producer of this new attraction overlay, Scooter McStacey was not available to comment on his new production since he was busy creating his newest attraction overlay......
