  • Has anyone tried the "Master Cleanse"?

A few of my friends have suggested this, but I want to know if anyone here has tried it and did it work?

you are talking about the one with honwy, lemon water etc...and that is all you eat/drink, right? I think you are supposed to do it for 30 days, it will take off weight, however as far as it keeping off/not so much .

I know someone that did the one with lemon juice, honey, cayenne pepper and water and she said that on the 3rd day she woke up with horrible stomach cramps and had to quit! Someone else I know is doing Isagenix and she looks and feels great! I think it is kind of expensive though and seems to me like a pyramid scheme.

On a funny note, if you are a fan of The Office Kelly was doing this same cleanse.

I have a co worker who did it for three weeks and lost 14 pounds. She kept off some of it and gained back some of it. I tried the concoction and it tasted good , but I wouldn't want to live on it . I don't think it's healthy or even safe necessarily. To me , it would make a lot more sense to eat really healthy and exercise more to lose weight and have it stay off.

A friend of mine did it and he lost 80 pounds in 3 weeks. Now he's 280 and he hopes to reach 225 lbs. I gotta say.. he's never looked healthier. He says he feels great too.

on the grosser side, he said he pooped stuff that he ate 5 years ago.

I've had a couple friends that have done that, it didn't work for either one of them - they both lost weight in the begining but gained it back soon after.

I have to whole heartedly agree with Anne on this. Seriously, I love solid foods. I know I couldn't do the Master Cleanse.

I just read about it and it sounds like you really need the will power to do something like this. I'd say give it a try for at least ten days and see how it goes. Just a note, If you are over 40yo, I would check with your primary doctor before you start cleansing.

              Good Luck.

I am so tempted to do this right now, but I can't take off 3 days of work to stay by the toilet ) So tempting to try though!

2 of my friends did it and lost tons of weight - both have kept it off and one even lost more (3 months and 9 months). But they changed their diet- the cleanse was just a jumping point.

Who needs a body cleanse to lose weight? Just deep clean your bathroom and you should be able to sweat off a few pounds easily.

I saw a commercial today for a 7 day cleanse, I guess it was a pill or maybe liquid? Wish I could remember the web site, it was lik why she wants to lsoe weight or how she loses weight or something.

Re: Has anyone tried the "Master Cleanse"?

I had two friends buy some fast diet- both for their weddings. Yes, they both lost weight and/or inches, but it was a pain to keep off.
If it was for a special event, it might be something to do. Otherwise, just watch what you eat, drink lots of water, and exercise.

Re: Has anyone tried the "Master Cleanse"?

Health food stores have all kinds of cleanses for weight loss, liver, colon. Whenever I feel like I need a thorough body cleaning on the inside, I do one of these cleanses. What they do is help rid your body of toxins that make you hold onto fat and make you gain weight. And you can eat actual food, albeit its a limited selection and mostly healthy selections which is beyond some people, but it can be done!

It is gross! Can you imagine eating something and it's STILL in your body from 5 years ago??

                            Hehe. I like girls.

I might regret asking this, but how does he know that what he was pooping was stuff he ate five years ago?
