  • QUICK! I need an activity for 3-6th graders for tomorrow!

Hey guys, I've came down sick on Saturday and ended up not getting better for work. I called in today and had a lesson plan made up, now it looks like I'm going to be out again tomorrow, as i feel worse the ever right now. I need an activity for 23 kids mainly 4-5 grades with a few 3rd and 6th added in. We have basic craft supplies, and i don't have money to go out and buy anything,so it needs to be an in stock in the basic school craft cabinate activity.

    HELP! Please! I'm blank.

If it helps, were to chapter 10 of Narnia Lion witch and wardrobe.

I am no help, I'm so sorry! If I had seen this earlier I would have asked my kids, but they are asleep now. I have a third grader and a fifth grader. I'm tempted to wake my daughter up since my kids are on Spring break, but she would not be able to fall back asleep easily and would likely be very grumpy -- which also means, not much help.

You might even be asleep yourself now, since you feel so sick.

I know its to late, but for future reference if you Google "primary Narnia lesson plans" or "primary Narnia lesson plans crafts" you will get tons of hits and many sites have downloadable/printable stuff for free. I use Google all the time looking for craft projects for the special ed students I work with.

Bingo! When in doubt, google it. Like right now, I'm teaching figurative language. Kids ain't gettin' the concept of metaphor. Found a whole slough of options on the internet. Give it a try! Good luck! And feel better.

We teachers have it bad when it comes to sickness. You have to write down ever specific detail for a guest teacher---and if you forget something, all of your hard work goes out the window. It's sometimes more work to be sick.

          Peace,

They could write haikus about characters in the story, then decorate their poems and share them out to the group.

You could have them take chapters that they have already read and turn them into scripts to act out.

That's all I can think of right now.

            My best score ever!
