  • Update on my son in preschool...

He just started 2 weeks ago and has had 2 major meltdowns after I've left him (of course he doesn't do this when Dad takes him). Well yesterday and today he didn't cry at all when I left! His teacher said he had wonderful days!! She has a little notebook that we write back and forth in and yesterday she wrote, "While I expected good results, I didn't expect them this soon." Today she wrote, "Wow! This is a great guy!" I am so very proud of him!!! He has had HUGE separation issues with me in the past so this is a HUGE step for him!

My daughter is LOVING having alone time with mom while he's at school!

I have been wondering how it was going for you guys.

This is wonderful news! and the teacher is right, he adjusted very quickly,

I am so happy fpr you, I know that must be a huge pressure off of you, It's tough when your child has seperation issues, but that is one huge hurdle down now. :squeeze: I'm just so happy to hear this!

I will be going through the same thing in a few months! While I am not really looking forward to leaving him in someone else's care, I am really looking forward to see how he does in a school type setting. Being a mom is hard!! Glad it's going so well for you!

That's wonderful news! I'm glad he was able to adjust so quickly. Now you only have to go through it one more time when he starts Kindergarten.

Don't remind me! Then my daughter will be going too and I'll be home alone!

Daycare can be such a traumatic experience for both the parents and the kids. As long as you have your son at a good center where you know he will be loved, everything should work out fine.

You can always volunteer in the class.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I am grateful that I've been able to be home with them their whole little lives! Fortunately that will continue when they go to school so I'll be able to volunteer in their class!
