pick a color for my new doo

I have an apointment to get my hair done the end of the month, I am at a loss as to what color to dye it and lighten it. any good idea's and maybe with pics? Hey I am no beauty, but I know most of you out there have great taste and I could use some help

Karla, give us a pic of you and then describe approximetly what you want done, and we'll give you our opinions. I've never seen a pic of you, so I can't really help you there.

You seem to have short hair, so i'd leave the style the way it is and simply lighten it a bit, or if you wanted, you could go darker with some highlights.

Darker! Why not, it's just hair!

That's my theory anyway. If you are feeling brave and you trust your hair person, tell them you want something different, but not scary inappropriate. I had THE BEST hair guy and I just let him do whatever he wanted, and then he moved away...

I'd go with the second picture or the fourth, it blends more naturally. The pic of your favorite looks like some pop princess's hair color.

and, I don't mean to be agist but i'm not sure those skunk styles would work - you might be seen as trying to look young and hip and cool. Of course, i'm not a huge fan of those looks anyway!!

Hey, I am young hip and cool!!! At least my left fake leg and my right fake foot are :lmao: I do not want one color, I like pizaz! I want pizaz, even if it comes from Loreal.

A word about red shades... they're a pain to maintain because they fade pretty fast. A brown shade with red highlights worked in would look really good and be perfect for fall.... like a mahogany brown color or something.
