  • Is it a rash or acne?

So how do you tell the difference?

for a few weeks, the side of my face - like the jawbone area - was itching. But there wasn't anything there.

A few days ago I realized my face - esp. my forehead - was broken out. Now, I get breakouts when I'm stressed and I am stressed righ now. But this seems worse than usual, and it's on more than just my forehead. I've also gotten a few big ole regular ones too. (Yay Boo Boo Zap, eh? ) My jaw is still itchy, but not as bad as before.

So... how do I tell if it's a rash or just a breakout? I have been making sure I wash my face and wear my BM makeup and put extra zit stufon it every day....

    Good morning, son

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

It could definitely be stress. But otherwise, I don't know. Perhaps you should see a dermatologist, it could be rosacia or something along those lines.

Have you changed any product you have been using that might cause a reaction? Even laundry detergent on your pillow could cause that.

Well considering that you are about to do something you have never done before (gumball rally and the rides) I'd say it's a break out from stress. have you put anti itch cream on it???

It sounds like it might be an allergy. I think you should make an appointment to see a dermatologist asap.

The prob. with seeing a specialist is that I need a reco. from my dr, and I don't really have a dr., and who knows when I could see her. Ugh. I hate HMOs.

I don't think it's roseca - isn't that also when the cheeks get all red and flaky?

I haven't changed detergents... just changed my sheets yesterday. I am trying to think if I'm using or eating anything new and don't think so?

I do hope it's stress, and if it doesn't fade after this weekend I will go see a dr.

Feel better NNL. Try washing the sheets (again) to see if that helps.

Lori Beth.....have you tried taking Benedryl? If it's an allergy , it might help and if it's not an allergy the Bendryl won't hurt anything although it may make you sleepy.

Does that actually work? I see it in the Benefit section of Macy's and Sephora and I've thought about buying it so.....does it work?

There are many people here who swear by and love boo boo zap. I have never used it, but I would try it if I didn't always find too many other things to spend my money on at Sephora.

That happens to me when I'm stressed. I wash my face with Cetaphil and then put on Cetaphil moisturizing cream for dry, sensitive skin. My skin cleared up in about 3 day using this. If your skin is bad go see a doctor. They could probably tell you if you are alergic to something.

Didn't think about Benedryl... i'll have to get some. I'm always sleepy so that's no big deal  It does appear that this sucker spread to my neck so it might be a rash. Ugh.

Boo Boo Zap REALLY work on the single pimles and works REALLY well. Esp. if you catch them as they're coming up. On cluusters, it dosen't work as well.

Maybe I should switch back to Cetaphil.
