Are my kids the only ones who want a big party for their "golden birthday" - the year where the age is equal to the date?
We let the kids have big parties until they were 7, then decided every THREE years they would have a big party. That means ages 10, 13, and 16 would be a big deal. Worked great for the daughter. She turned 16 on the 16th. now my son will be 15 on the 15th.
If we have a big party, then do I do it again for the 16th b-day? And what kind of birthday party do you have for a 15 year old boy?
To add insult to injury, big sister will be at DL the week before his bday, thanks to poohnpiglet. So what's a mom to do??
