False eyelashes

Anyone wear these? I don't mean for Halloween, but the real life one.

How/where do you attach them? I'm thinking of just the few pieces that you put on the outside edges. Not for everyday, but for holiday parties, etc.

Any stories/experiences?

I can't tell you how many times I've tried and failed. I know how to put them on, adhere the glue, cut them to size but I can never get them to stay put.

I had a make up artist put some on me (just a few in the outside corners) at a bridal show and they looked fabulous, they really made my eyes look beautiful. They felt really wierd though. I noticed the artist used tweezers to dip the individual lashes in black lash glue and stick them very carefully in place.

I know some places do eyelash extensions - like falsies but they last up to a month, but I think it's pretty expensive.

I don't even like wearing mascara much, so false lashes would drive me nuts!

On your eyelashes, right at the base practically ON the eyelids.

Just my advice dont to the lash extensions. My best friend used them and lost a bunch of lashes and it took forever for them to grow back in. I've tried fake lashes but it feels funny and the glue gave me a rash on my eye lids.

I second that opinion. I have a friend who lost her eyelashes for good because she would get the fake ones so often that her real ones fell out and so now she permanently wears falsies...

I wear them if I'm going out somewhere that requires dressing up.

I'm going to third the don't get lash extensions vote. They cost between $250 - $300 to get put on, regular length not glamour length. I never went for a fill because they would bend in random directions and actually hurt. You had to apply a moisturizer every other day and they caused several lashes of my own to come out. They looked great for about a week and then not so much.

Ive worn then a few times. They look awesome but are a royal PITA to apply. I have no patience for them so I always have to ask someone else to do it for me.

I've tried and FAILED about three times. I think I'd go with everyone else and say that having someone else put them will save you some curse words!

I had to wear them for a class and glued my eye shut. Yeah... that was fun. I love the look, lack the patience.

I was at Starbucks yesterday and saw the barista wearing them.

I wore some for a Halloween party last night. It was the first time I've used them and it worked out great. Buy some and give it a try -- just don't use too much glue.
