  • Ever Used Piercing Pagoda?

The holes in my ear have closed up, sadly, and I want to get them re-pierced, has anyone ever been to Piercing Pagoda? Any comments?

personally, I would recommend going to a professional piercer and having it done right. You will be stuck with hoops for awhile, but the piercing is a lot less traumatic to your ear and more accurate as well.

By professional do you mean jewelers or what?
I can't wear hoops, it's a policy in my job outside of the bakery. =\

I went to piercing pagoda when I first got my ears pierced. Mine closed in. I was little though and didn't take very good care of them.
I ended up getting mine done again at the Del Mar Fair, at a nurses booth & they haven't closed.

I mean using a body piercer and not a teenager with a piercing gun. Check with a local tattoo parlor and they will usually have piercers on staff as well.

Caring for your ears with studs isn't prime, but I guess its doable.

I've had my ears pierced multiple times (and closed multiple times). Go to a tattoo and piercing parlor and tell them your ears closed up. Maybe there's a reason for it happening...

In my experience holes close up because you simply haven't let them heal long enough or go for to long of a time with out earrings in. Even my ear piercings (which I have had for 11+ years) will close up if they go for to long without earrings in them. If you tell the piercer that the holes closed up usually they will go ahead and just open the holes up again for you.

I am about to blaspheme against the piercing gods. . . but I am totally okay with guns/ claire's-esque places for lobe piercings. I know! I'm sorry, I can't help it. They are not only cheap, but I have never had a problem with gun piercings that were directly related to the use of the gun over the "better" ways. So if this piercing pagoda place uses guns, I say go for it (just keep up that cleaning regimen!)

When my daughter was 6 months old we used them to do her ears. Of course at her age we would only consider one of the places that would just use a gun to quickly get some studs in her ears.

Hers turned out just fine, she has had them for over 5 years without any problems

My daughters and I have all had our ears pierced there and it went fine. The employees drew the dots where they would pierce the ears, but we were able to say if we thought it was the right spot or not.

I had my ears pierced at a Piercing Pagoda 18 years ago...and I've never had a problem.

Just take care of the holes and you should be ok.

I have had six piercings (I'm a male), four of which I still have in and I have done them all at a place that does nothing but piercings. Their place is nice, the room they did the actual piercings in looked like a hospital room, they had a wide selection of jewelry. This is what you need to look for amongst places to get piercings. I highly recommend NOT going to a place that does both tattoos and piercings, only because the tattoo shop where I get my ink used to have a piercer and they said it was "an accident waiting to happen", hence the reason they got rid of her.

I am anti gun for piercing,, I am sure its clean anough, but for me...I'll pass. If I were you I wou'd find a local piercing shop, most tattoo shops do piercing too, you can probably find one easily at Venice. The holes will be better (usually a bit bigger and clean through keeping it open longer due to a better healing process.

                              here this may help.
