  • Guys I Need Answer

Me and my man have been together for almost two years now and are finally planing a trip to WDW it will be the first time for both of us. Where is a special place that I could pop the question to him and please don't say on a ride!

In front of Cinderella's castle? Hopefully when it's not that busy.

How about on the ferry going from Fort Wilderness to MK?

Or... do they still do the fireworks cruise? That would be good...

Or out on the balcony at California Grill during the fireworks.

I'd say around Cinderella's castle. There are a lot of great spots around there. You could even book a Cinderella's table dinner or lunch and then do it. It's really cool inside.

        Congrats, btw!

          Re: Guys I Need Answer

I'm not a guy, but have been to WDW many times and love it so. I have been married for 18 years and have fantisised about turning back the hands of time and having my husband propose to me at WDW. Here are a few spots I think would do the trick: Cinderella's wishing well on the side of the castle, the rose garden off to the side of the castle, on the riverboat, under the tree with the lanterns in the colonial area, at the Crystal Palace (inside or out).

Around the property are many great spots too: anywhere at the Grand Floridian (by the gazebo is the best), anywhere at the Polonesine Resort, my favorite moderate is the New Orleans resort-they have wonderful walking paths that can be private at the right time of night.

Animal Kingdom has many secluded nooks that are romantic, Epcot has all the wonderful countries and they all have little romantic spots (England has the hedges, France has a hideaway spot near the shops, Italy has a plaza, Norway has that great Viking boat, etc.) Not much to recommend for MGM, but if you guys are movie freaks, then maybe that might be the place: Star Wars, Grumans Chinese Theater, Brown Derby, Beauty and the Beast.

Good luck to both of you. I'm sure we all would love to hear how it turns out. So exciting to be young and in love and ready to start that next part of your lives together!

How romantical!! Yay you! I hope he doesnt read Micechat though.

I'd say near the castle at the MK. Doesnt necessarily need to be up front, maybe a quiet corner someplace. Maybe a quiet garden setting at one of the countries at Epcot, like in Japan, or the UK. Or even a quiet corner in on one of the grounds of the hotels, like Grand Floridian or the Polynesian (can ya tell I like those quiet romantic areas?).

            Best of luck!

You could do it in front of the big Mary Blair mural in the Contemporary Hotel. That would be a nice, quiet place to do it, especially if you timed it right with the monorails.
              Woof!

I've always liked the idea of doing it after a nice dinner. I know the Contemporary Hotel is a bit buttly from the outside, but the restaurant up top offers some nice views at sunset and the ambiance is rather nice. The monorail runs through the hotel making for fairly easy access from the magic kingdom.

Dittos on the Fireworks cruise if they are still running it.

If you were going to do it on a ride.... go for the mansion attic!

I know you said no ride, but.....

Do it at the top of splash mountain right when the camera flashes.
                    What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

what's wrong with doing it on a ride? i've never been to WDW but i heard of someone who proposed on spaceship earth which resulted in complete success.

OK ... this is my suggestion ...

Take him to the Grand Floridian to be there to watch the fireworks. You can see them from the marina or the boat dock. They even pipe in the music! Just as "Wishes" is being presented, pop the question!

                        Heck ... I'd say yes!

I would also recommend the Polynesian, right on the beach, just as the fireworks are going off. I always found that resort very romantic.

I wish you both the best of luck.

There is a beautiful setting behind the Rose & Crown Pub in the England part of World Showcase. On the right day, it can be quiet, and realllly romantic. Good luck, bruddah!

I used a brick on the Walk around the world path but they stopped selling them in July 2000.

They sell them at Disneyland. If it has to be at WDW than go eat at the Polynesian and walk out to Sunset point facing the castle at night during the fireworks and ask.
