    It's a sport...right?

It's been a while, but I used to go target shooting now and again. Now my son is old enough, I'm going to take him to the range, and let him shoot the .22 LR. I've got a lever action and a semi-auto. Once he gets comfy with that I'll let him shoot a .22 pistol. I'll shoot the .357, it will be several years before he can handle that one.

    Any other shooters here?

I haven't been target shooting in quite a while. I used to really enjoy shooting skeet. Or we'd shoot at cans of soda - boom!

My late stepfather was was a police officer - he taught me how to fire weapons when I was 8yo and I was entering contests by the time I was 10 and continued competing through HS. I now only go to the range a few times a year.

I haven't been shooting in years, but I was raised around guns. My father used to own a gun shop, we would load our own bullets, and shells. I preferred shooting the compound bow over the gun, but I was told he sold them all.

One day I will try to shoot trap. At my job #2 there is a trap range and it sounds like fun.

Love goin' to the range. Count me in. Like SCUBA, the compound bow (an old piece of trash 'Bear') was a big fave of mine growing up. Nothing like nocking an arrow and lettin' her fly--primal.

^^^ Seeing that you and SCUBabe mentioned it I should add that my neighbor and I have the hay bails set up down at the bottom of our hill for archery practice.

Just found this thread....yep used to go shooting at a range in Orange, CA. Sold my gun this past year, quit going and didn't want the Wolfette to get too curious. She knew about it, but didn't feel comfortable. Had a Sig Sauer, great gun and I had gotten quite good....another time, another place in the future.
