  • Worst Bad Beat EVER at the World Series of Poker

Was watching the first of many editions of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker on ESPN and this happened. (And it was on camera because Ray Romano was one of the players, but not in the hand).

The river card was an Ace of Diamonds...

And it gave one player Four Aces (he had a pocket pair), and of course, he went all in...

Alas, the other player had King and Jack of Diamonds, and the Ace gave him a Royal Flush..... (and called)

    OUCH!!!

They said the odds were about 1 in 2.7 Billion

At many casinos that would be a jackpot hand giving the 4 aces 50% of the jackpot, the royal 25% and the rest of the table splitting the other 25%.

Great hand, some are hard to believe like this one.

WOW! Wish I had seen that.

Thanks for the heads up that it's on now!
