        Re: Premiership?

The family and I are planning a trip to Europe within the next couple of years, before all the kids are out of high school, and one of the most anticipated parts of our tour is to attend a premier game. I prefer Liverpool, but the kids like Chelsea, the wife likes Arsenal, she'll probably win. We have Galaxy season tickets, to keep us from having full on soccer ( sorry, born a yank) DT's, and couldn't live without Fox soccer channel.

But, you list your location as Ireland, and your team is Liverpool? Not Celtic or one of the Irish clubs, I'm telling! Isn't Rooney Irish?

I 'like' Celtic, but I don't really like liking them because of the whole religion thing it represents. So I don't really really support them.
The majority of Irish people are actually Liverpool fans, with Man Utd coming a close second. I think it's because so many Irish players have played for both teams down the ages.
And Rooney's granddad was Irish I think?! Still don't like him being a Liverpool fan

Not a great day to be a Liverpool fan NinkB. Oh well, you still have the premiership you can win.

                  Positive thinking!
That's it, but we did ourselves proud. No one gave us a chance.

                    Re: Premiership?

Sheffield United is my team. I liked them, for some reason, because that was the team the guys in Full Monty followed, and then I found out our friends from England, who live much closer to Manchester than Sheffield, are Sheffield United fans, and we follow the team together.

With their win today and Birmingham's loss, Sheffield moves closer to promotion to the premiership next season. A win against Crystal Palace might mean automatic promotion as the second place team. If they win and Birmingham loses or draws against Reading, they are in. Go Sheffield United! Go Reading!
