  • Let's Go Titans! The College World Series Thread

When I was a student at Cal State Fullerton, Augie Garrido was coaching Tim Wallach and the Titan baseball squad to their first national championshio in 1979.

Today, three national titles later, the Titans are back in Omaha for the 16th time, taking on Arkansas in their opener.

Let's talk some College World Series baseball.

I am a proud Cal State Fullerton alum.

    Go TITANS!!!

Our Titans are struggling right now against Arkansas, which is probably the weakest team to have made the field of eight. They have cut a 9-2 lead to 9-4, but it doesn't look good right now.

    Fight on, Titans!

Leaving bases loaded with one out in the 8th is no way to cut a five run lead....

Arkansas 10, Titans 6. So much for being the nation's second seed. So much for a margin for error, now that they're in the losers bracket.

Looks like the dreaded RB curse strikes again!

They can still win it all. Now, they'll just have to do it the hard way!

        GO TITANS!!!

            Well, that didn't take long.

Titans lose to Virginia 7-5...so it's two and done.

Thanks, Titans for another great season anyway!

What a rollercoaster. So dominant in the regional and super regional, so dormant in the CWS...
