  • Guess who's unretired again!!!

Source says Brett Favre will sign with Minnesota Vikings pending a physical - ESPN

    Come on, Brett!!!

This is just too much. Retired, unretired, retired, unretired, retired, unretired. This is getting old, just like Brett.

    Re: Guess who's unretired again!!!

As a lifelong Vikings fan, I'm torn. I've hated Brett Favre for so long that it's going to be weird to have him in purple. But on the other hand, Packer fans are probably hating the whole thing even more, so I'm good with that.

Overall, I'm excited to see what he can do for these one or two seasons. Skol Vikings!

Farve is now the official NFL version of Roger Clemens (minus the roids).

        I totally expected it too.

So why isn't he considered one of the league's top drama queens?

What cracks me up is the logic some of his few followers are using for justifying his return. the following is a quote from someone on DH's facebook:

"I fully understand. However he had to "retire" to get out of Green Bay. He then had to find a team that he could go to and then "retire" to get out of the GB stipulation. Thus, he had to do two retirements to get where he wants."

^ That's a funny quote. People are silly.

The only thing that is worse than this (IMO) was Jerry Rice playing for the Raiders.

Come on Brett, your better than this.

Based on the last 3 years, no Brett isn't better than this. He now comes off as a non-commital, attention whore.

I wonder if Brett is making money off of changing football jerseys.
                  He probably is...
Is Brett the NBA version of Shaquille O'Neal?

This is taxing. I guess all the Micheal Vick headlines were making Favre jealous.

In Shaq's defense, he's never retired then come back. And he's in a MUCH better situation in Cleveland than he was on Phoenix.

I'm just saying that both Brett and Shaq have been on many different teams.
Yeah, Shaq is in a MUCH better situation. Hopefully this year Cleveland goes to the finals to play the Lakers.

I'd have to agree. Brett is not better than this. In fact, I've read one "theory" that he felt he deserved much better from GB and is joining the Vikings just to stick it to them.

he only wants to get back at Green Bay because they were tired of him giving them the run around. he retired, then all of a sudden wanted to come back and when they were ready to move on, he got upset, stomped his feet and demanded a trade like a little schoolgirl

No. but the retire-unretire stuff is making me think about Magic Johnson at the end of his career.

Favre's been a great quarterback for so many years. But he'll be 40 soon, and he has a torn rotator cuff!

Clinks mentioned Jerry Rice as a Raider.

I remember (from baseball) Willie Mays as a New York Met.

I remember Joe Namath as a Los Angeles Ram.
I remember Johnny Unitas as a San Diego Charger.

I really hope that we aren't going to see something similar, here. I'm afraid, however, that we are.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
