  • Michael Jordan- what a Jerk at his induction ceremony..

It was once said "It's gotta be the Shoes!" about Jordan's on-court performance... Someone should have shoved one in his petty mouth during his speech. Classless Jerk.

Nothing like the greatness that was Magic or Bird, or countless others.

Wow... so much for class and graciousness.
I am ashamed of what I've done for a Klondike Bar.

Wow. Is he taking pointers from Kanye West?

He should never, ever, replace The Logo as the logo.

This is MJ being MJ. He's always been this way. Nobody should be surprised.

I think Jim Rome said it best earlier this week:

            (I'm paraphrasing here)

"For most people this would have been one of the greatest nights of their lives. A tribute to their lasting impression on the game and being one of the "Greatest Ever". For MJ it was probably one of the worst days because it means it's really over".

That said, there comes a time when you have to STOP being like that and just say thank you for the honor ... apparently MJ couldn't even do that. I mean, the only credit he gave Dean Smith was "he didn't put me on the cover of SI".

Seems to me like he needs to "get over it" and let go of all the past slights he's apparently still holing onto.
              Good morning, son
              In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
              It was pain
              Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Over the years I have had the privledge of meeting in person several sports stars, including Jordan, Bird, and Magic. Sadly i must say (As a Celtics fan) the nicest guy BY FAR was Magic Johnson. Greatly disapponted in Bird and Jordan.

Magic is the only one of those three I've met. He is very nice to fans. Jerry West is too. I've always thought Jordan would be kind of a jerk. Bird I would have expected more from. Sorry to hear he was a disappointment.

MJ has and will probably always be a jerk. He knew with the induction, that it was the end of him being the center of attention, and he decided that before it was all said and done he had some scores to settle. So he settled them.

IMHO, he is a very petty and insecure individual who the NBA cowtowed to because he brought in so much money.
