OK! We've got about a week before the season starts!

So how is everyone feeling about their team's chances this year? Spring always brings optimism, fall always brings sad regrets, but while everyone is still even, we might as well dream big!

Well, I think it's safe to say that we won't be seeing my Padres in the Fall.

    How's that for optimism?

There's always hope! Even for Royals fans this year.

And for all you die-hard Angels fans (and you all know who you are), I hope your team can hold off the Mariners. At least you finally got rid of Vladimir Guerrero.

Thanks for the ray of hope Wotan. In all honesty though, 75 wins looks to be the ceiling for my Royals in '10. The rotation looks like a disaster after Zack Greinke. No starting pitching, and you won't go too far.

Zack Greinke, Billy Butler and Joakim Soria are our best players. That's a nice start building the foundation of a team. A staff ace, a shutdown closer and an up-and-coming slugger. But we need others to step up.

RDF, I don't think it's unreasonable for the Royals to come close to .500 this season; it would be a tremendous achievement. It's also something the long-suffering fans of Kaufman Stadium deserve to see!

Can't argue with that. Thanks again for the support.

Like...suite tickets (away from the field)

Speaking of the Twins, they christen Target Field tomarrow night in an exhibition game against the Cardinals. I can't watch cause I have to work late, but I can't wait to see the highlights.

I've seen some things written indicating that the place is already has a number of faults; I hope it turns out to be a good place for the fans.

BTW, RDF, I was thinking the other day, and if your Royals win just one extra game each month, they would go from 75 wins to 81. Interesting to think about, no?

And for you Angels fans, how are you guys going to handle the Mariners this season?

From the pics I saw online earlier this year, it looks like a very nice ballpark.

I'll be making my first visit to The Trop tonight to see the Rays take on the Mets. I got to work early today so I can leave early to head over to the ballpark. :yea:

I can see my Red's making some real noise this year. They seem to finally have a decent rotation. I just hope that we have the bats to keep us in games.

I am concerned about Harang...he's at a make it/break it point in his career. I'm hoping that we see Chapman before June!

Rays won tonight against the Mets 4-2. They almost blew it! But we won in dramatic fashion by robbing the Mets with a game-tying homer for the last out. Phew!

Yeah it was just an exhibition game, but it was still baseball.

Oh and a friend of mine's son (who is 6 I think) caught a home run a guy from the Mets hit. It hit the steps and bounced right into his glove for a clean catch. It was so awesome and the crowd around us went nuts!
