  • Spring Training pictures from Camelback Ranch

I went to Camelback Ranch in Glendale,AZ this past Saturday to catch some Cactus League action between the Dodgers and the Seattle Mariners. It was the second straight year I was able to go and I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it. Heres some pictures I took.

Pitchers tuning up before full squad practice

Dodgers prospect Josh Lindblom starts the parade of players

    Garret Anderson

    Russ Ortiz

    Vicente Padilla

Manny, Casey Blake, Rafael Furcal and Ronnie Belliard

(After this picture was taken, Casey Blake started pushing Manny on the bike to make him go faster. Manny's reaction was priceless)

    Dodgers backup catcher Brad Ausmus

James Loney running late to practice

    Dodgers scout Mike Brito

Hall of Fame spanish announcer Jaime Jarrin. It was such a thrill to finally meet him!

    Don Mattingly

    Joe Torre

    Blake DeWitt

#99 and #00 (Manny and Garret Anderson)

    Dodgers prospect Xavier Paul

A special guest is in the building today

    Warmups before the game

Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp chat before the game

Manny walks to the Dodger dugout

    Tommy and Joe

    Full house today

James Loney and Casey Blake race after being pulled from the game

The Man!! Vin Scully gets escorted out of the Stadium. It was great seeing Vinny laughing it up with the fans. He couldnt stop for autographs or pictures for fear of being mobbed.

Just some shots I took as we walked out

All in all, it was a great day. The weather was fantastic and the atmosphere was totally laid back and fun. Being a lifelong Dodger fan, I am very happy that I can finally goto Spring Training on a regular basis without having to fly across the country. The Dodgers (and White Sox) have built a great facility and even non Dodger fans were commenting on how beautiful the place is. The only downer really is that the players werent really signing today, but I guess with Spring Training winding down that's to be expected. Still, they would at least acknowledge the fans and apologize for not signing. Better than just blowing people off completely I guess.

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures!

Brad Ausmus! I didn't know he was with the Dodgers now. I met him 2 or 3 times when he was with Detroit in the 90's. Nice guy.

    Cool pics.
