Re: 2011-2012 NBA Regular Season Thread

When they announced the schedule for opening day on Christmas, I was looking at the games and pondering the awesomeness of it, then I got to the last game of the night - Clippers v Warriors. It was like that old Sesame Street song - one of these things is not like the others.

But then the league vetoed the Chris Paul trade and helped the Hornets orchestrate a trade to the Clippers. Now it all makes sense.

The most exciting game I've seen so far this season would have to be Dallas vs Oklahoma City. Both teams played well and it went down to the wire. Had a playoff feel to it.
Oklahoma looks really good so far this year.

I also like the shorter schedule. Makes each game count and the teams pressured to really play like it counts, cause it does now if they want to make the playoffs.

Now if only the Clippers can get up to speed. Just once I'd like to see them do well.
Hopefully the addition of Chris Paul can do that.

Rasheed Wallace is making a comback. According to several news reports, he will sign a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

As far as the Dwight Howard rumors go, he still desires a trade to either the Lakers, Mavs or Nets.

The Lakers are getting stronger going into the playoffs. I like their chances, especially if Oklahoma City gets bumped off before the conference finals.
