Re: Talking Baseball: The Postseason Thread

Mr. Cleveland (Gregg - you know who I mean) is rooting for an Indians/Dbacks World Series so he can go see a game in Arizona since it's not too far away. I think a road trip might be fun.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

You're rooting for snow during the World Series? Not that Boston would be any warmer.
Colorado has forgotten how to lose. Arizona only knows how to lose big.

My prediction: Arizona will with the series, but Colorado will score more runs.

            Thanks.

I will watch as many games as I can, and knowing the schedule ahead sure does help.

Interesting that former D-Backs' manager Bob Brenly will be an analyst for TBS in the NLCS. Bob's a classy guy though.

The announcers of the Colorado/Arizona series are doing a really good job in my opinion.

                  Good morning, son
                  In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                  It was pain
                  Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

The Rox continue their dominance with a win in Arizona. No extra bases tonight and they still win 5-1.

The Rockies are going to be tough to beat. They just beat the only pitcher to beat them during this streak.

I really don't think the Rockies will be beat. (At least in this round) In the first inning there were some cobwebs visible but they cleared up and they quickly looked like they have for almost a month now. I had said the series would go in 5 games but this was the game I thought they would lose. lol.

                        Tonight will be interesting.

The Rox are unbeatable! A 3-2 win in Game 2. Now Arizona has to come back in a hostile environment at Coors.

Did anyone else feel sorry for Stephen Drew though after his baserunning mistake in the bottom of the 9th? He must've felt like banging his head against the wall when he had to face his teammates in the dugout.

I agree. I'm LOVING hearing Tony Gwynn. He may have been a Padre, but what a class act on and off the field. One of my all-time favorite players.

First LCS game EVER at Coors field, you KNOW they are going to be into this game.

I did feel kind of bad for Drew. That's a rookie mistake (hell, I'd even go so far as to call it a Little League mistake).

Cleveland is giving it to Boston. A 7-run 11th (Gagne, Lopez, Lester).

As soon as Gagne came in, I knew we were in trouble. It's like pouring jet fuel on a fire. Well, we had a good year!

I honestly think that the Rockies can win the World Series now. I didn't think they would at the beginning of the NLCS, but they are unbeatable. Nothing phases them. Their World Series opponent will make it a tough task though. I'm really enjoying watching this team play though. What are they? 20 of 21 games they've won? That's rediculous!

Arizona had their best chance to win in games 2 and 3 and couldn't pull it off.

I look for the Rockies to clinch tonight.
