Re: 2010 Olympics Ticket Prices Announced
I have TOTALLY been waiting for this announcement all day.
WTG vancover2010.com for not sending out THAT e-mail LOL
Ummm... so if I get an Canadian friend to buy the tix... can I, as an American, use them?
And will anyone outside of Canda be offered worse seats than Canadians? (in this lottery?)
Time to start saving)
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: 2010 Olympics Ticket Prices Announced
The other thing is, if you live in the US, you have to go through the official ticket broker of the USOC, we won't be able to just buy tickets directly through VANOC. And usually they don't sell tickets individually, you have to buy a package, and they usually suck too and are pricey

Re: 2010 Olympics Ticket Prices Announced
Unbelievably pricey, but so unique, they don't have a problem selling out many events. When I went to the Athens 2004 closing ceremony, I hated myself for spending $850 PER TICKET (plus "processing fees up the ... well, you know), until I got there -- being in that crowd in the home of the Olympic Games was very touching and a once in a lifetime experience.
When I took my wife to the Torino Winter Games in 2006, we spent over $300 per ticket to see ice skating, but she really enjoyed it also. It's just the price to play - everything in the olympic cities is more expensive during the olympics, but the atmosphere is wonderful, and in my opinion, worth it.
See you in Bejing...
