List your favorite teams/players

This thread is pretty self explanitory. Just tell me your favorite teams and players. College or pro. Even golfers and racecar drivers are allowed. No arguing, just list'em.

For me:

NFL: Oakland Raiders, also like the Steelers, Eagles and Colts (unless they're playing the Raiders. )

MLB: Oakland Athletics, also like the Mets and Phillies

NHL: San Jose Sharks, also like the Flyers

Not much of a basketball fan or college sports fan.

Peyton Manning is my all time favorite non-Raider to watch and as much as I HATE to see him come to town Vlad "The Impaler" is one awesome baseball player.

No pro teams, just don't watch pro sports anymore.

College football: USC Trojans

College Basketball: Not really a fan and I only really pay attention if I am at a Duke game (I'll root for them), or it's March madeness...even then I don't root for a specific team.

NFL: Carolina Panthers. LOVE Steve Smith, Keary Colbert, Dwayne Jarrett, and Jake Delhomme.

MLB: Anaheim Angels

NBA: None, I hate the NBA.

NHL: None. Can't seem to get into hockey

English Premiership Football (That's soccer to us Americans): Manchester United. Fave player is Wayne Rooney

College Basketball: U of A Wildcats

College Football: USC and UCLA

NFL: New England Patriots although i hate Tom Brady and wish festering sores upon him. Drew Bledsoe used to be my fav player, but he retired. Now its Adrian Wilson of the Arizona Cardinals, he likes to hurt people and i like watching him hurt them.

MLB: Used to be California Angels back before the name change. Now Los Angeles Dodgers, although they completly ruined the team and Arizona Diamondbacks. Fav Players Retired: Steve Sax, Pete Rose, Wade Boggs and Gary Carter. Fav players current: Big Unit, Roger Clemens, Paul LoDuca and Vlad the Impaler!

NBA: 85-87 Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. Fav Player ret: Earvin "Magic" Johnson. Fav player current: The starting 5 for the Phoenix Suns.

NHL: Kings and Coyotes. CHL: Arizona Sundogs!

Soccer: Liverpool Football rules! Don't really have a fav player

Pro Wrestling: Current Fav Ken Kennedy and Jeff Hardy. Retired Fav: Original 4 Horsemen (Flair, Blanchard, Arn and Ole with J.J. Dillion) and Nikita Kolloff.

MLB - Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees

NFL - Dallas Cowboys

NBA - Los Angeles Lakers

NHL - Used to be Kings, the strike killed that.

EPL - Manchester United (all time favorite team). Favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pro Football: Vikings
Pro Baseball: Twins and D-Backs and Rockies to lesser extents
Pro Basketball: Timberwolves and Suns to a lesser extent
Pro Hockey: Wild and Devils

Favorite pro football player: Randy Moss, glad to see him on the Patriots now, hope he can get a ring.
Favorite pro basketball player: Kevin Garnett, hope he gets a ring now too.
Favorite pro baseball player: growing up Kirby Puckett and now Torii Hunter and Joe Mauer
Favorite pro hockey player: Marian Gaborik of the Wild and Petteri Wirtanen of the Ducks

Baseball - the Angels (for the past 43 seasons now)

NFL - A lukewarm Chargers fan (was a die-hard Rams fan for 27 years until "Madame Ram" stabbed SoCal Rams fans in the heart, after years of stabbing us in the back)

Don't like the NBA nearly as much as before. I was a die-hard Laker fan for many years but the soap opera of the past five years or so finally killed my appetite.

NHL - I've been a Kings fan since their first season.

College football and basketball...UCLA Bruins

Among my favorite baseball players over the years...Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Maury Wills, Ron Cey and Mike Scioisia of the Dodgers...Jim Fregosi, Nolan Ryan, Bobby Grich, Brian Downing, Gary DiSarcena (sp?), Tim Salmon, Darin Erstad, Chone Figgins.

Among other greats I got to see in person in my younger days - Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Warren Spahn, Reggie Jackson, Al Kaline to name a few.

All-time favorite Laker...a tie between Magic Johnson and Jerry West (Chick Hearn always called him Mr. Clutch, and as it turned out he was all of that both on the court and in the front office).

All-time favorite King...tie between Marcel Dionne and Luc Robitaille.

Baseball- Detroit Tigers, I was a big fan of Cecil Fielder, quite the "whammer" in his day. 2006 was a miracle year. Too many mistakes at the World's.

Football- Buffalo Bills. Was partial to the 49er's during the Joe Montana, Bill Walsh, Jerry Rice Days.

College Football and Basketball-Michigan usually pretty consistent every season.

Pro Hockey- Red Wings. Amazing history behind this team

Pro Soccer- PSV Eindhoven

Pro Cycling- CSC Tiscali- Great directeur Sportif Bjarne Riis, these guys go through a military style off season training for a good base for the next racing season.

Pro Basketball- San Antonio Spurs

yes, I am a fan by marriage. I JUST started getting into EPL about 3 yrs ago.

My DH has been a Manchester United fan since the 80's (though he remembers watching a match with his dad in 1977 at the ripe old age of 3.) If our daughter was a boy her middle name would have been Robson.

Hard to believe, but Joe Dimaggio(sp) was here in town at one of the golf clubs here, didn't get too meet him, but he was easy to see and easy too listen to about what he had to say about his life in baseball.

NBA Player = Mr. Kobe Bean Bryant to a bittersweet extent. As much as I have loved watching him play, it hurts me that he is selfish enough to put himself in front of the team and fans that have stood by him throughout his entire career.

Current Players: Frank Gore
Past Players: Tom Rathman (one of my all-time favorites), Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Dwight Clark, Keena Turner, John Taylor, Ronnie Lott.

Los Angeles Lakers:
Current Players: Derek Fischer ... and that's about it. No bitter-sweet with me and Kobe. I just don't like him at all.
Past Players: Byron Scott, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem, Shaq, Kurt Rambis, Orlando Woolridge, Vlade, Rick Fox

Since Baseball is the sport I'm most passionate about it's the Angels.

Fav player all time is Nolan Ryan although Brian Downing & Bobby Grich are right up there. Current player, probably Vlad.
