I'll have my predictions a little later. For now, just let me say that the injuries suffered by Lackey, and especially Escobar, have me really concerned with the Angels starting pitching. And they'll miss Orlando Cabrera to be sure.

I'm concerned about pitching too. They haven't looked too bad in pre-season, but that isn't always a good test.

Lucky for KC. We get to start the 2008 season against Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers.

Who cares though. I'm just glad to be talkin baseball again!!!

I guess that I am expected to pick the Cubs, but will I?

Of course. Tomorrow is opening day, and they are dedicating a statue to Ernie Banks. The south side team is out of town, but I will have my radio turned on, so I can listen to ex Cubs broadcaster, Steve Stone.

              We can dream.

A good 2nd opening act...the Nationals beat the Braves with their final swing of the bat, to christen their new stadium.

Just sitting her watching the Cubs and the Brewers playing their game. The game was delayed by about 45 minutes due to the rain. The dedication ceremony for the Ernie Banks statue was a huge success. Lot of great ballplayers were in attendance. Hank Aaron, Billy Williams, Minnie Minoso, just to name a few.

I'm also watching the Cub/ Brewers game. That was an awesome sight seeing Fukudome (spell check?) hit that HR.

                      Man, Gagne is struggling.

I am watching the ninth inning of the Cubs game, as I listen to the radio broadcast. It is all tied up. Sometimes good things happen, while I am posting here on MiceChat. The 7 second delay is a bit confusing.

It's an extra inning ballgame today. I wonder who's going to pitch the 10th. Kerry gave up three runs, and hit a batter. Fukodome hit the homerun that tied up the game for the Cubs.

Opening Day is always exciting, one way or another.

Are the Twins reconsidering putting a roof on the new ballpark?

Just got back from working the season opener at Safeco Field. The Mariners got one in the win column. And it SNOWED! which is really strange for Seattle. I'll be writing about my experiences in the Mariners and Melonballer thread.
