Well, the seeds are seat. The teams are traveling and it all starts Saturday at ten am Arizona time. So who do you have in the finals now? What series are you most interested in watching? Then any other thing you might wanna talk about in regard to the NBA playoffs.

I cant wait to watch the Cavs Wizard series because of all the smack talk. The other series that should be fun is the Suns Spurs because of the rivalry and I am a Suns fan. I like these guys to win this round.

    Lakers / Nuggets - Lakers in 5
    Hornets / Mavs= Hornets in 7
    Spurs / Suns - Suns in 6
    Rockets / Jazz - Jazz in 6

    Celtics / Hawks - Celts in 4
    Pistons / 76ers - Pistons in 6
    Orlando / Toronto - Orlando in 7
    Cavs / Wizards - Wizards in 6

      Re: NBA Playoffs

Honetsly its been such a bad season for us this year I havent even paid attention fo rthe last couple months. I am not a fan of any of the high seeds so not much to root for right now unless there is a Cinderella upset. I could get behind the Suns or Jazz in the West. Dont really care about the east, I guess the Hawks because they rarely make it anywhere...like my Clips.

Anyway, I assume the Lakers will win the whole thing and I will have to heard about it from my friends for months to follow.

Cant wait for football season to start back up...

Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

Hopfully that will happen but I really prefer a Boston-LA rivalry with Lakers winning in the finals in game 6.

I think Lakers/Boston would be an oustanding matchup. I still remember, albeit vaguely, Magic, Worthy, and Kareem against Bird, McHale, and Parish in 1985.

Anyone else remember this, or am I the only ancient one in this thread?

            THAT was a series!

Guess I'm really ancient, cause I remember the late 60's, when the Celtics beat the Lakers seemingly every year in the Finals. I remember game 7 at the Forum in 1969, with the balloons that stayed in the rafters.

And I remember the 1984 Celtics-Lakers series, with another game 7 loss.

All of which made 1985 all the more special to Laker fans.

And this time a year ago, who woulda thunk that another such final series would even by worthy of thought?

By the way, Saturday's game 1 of Suns-Spurs was one of the better games I've ever seen. That is going to be a classic series.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The Phoenix/San Antonio series is awesome. I think Phoenix will come back but not sure if I see them taking it. Behing behind 2 will hold them back from getting the series.

I'm loving my Lakers right now! I still think they need to step it up for whoever we get next though....

When it comes down to Boston vs Detroit in the East, I think Detroit might take that. I'd love to see an LA/Boston finals but I agree with Goof, it will be LA/Detroit.

The Lakers last night looked nearly unbeatable and Bynum was not playing. As a Suns fan that is scary.

Lakers were on fire last night...I thought Kobe would stay longer in the game to make 51 points or something. Oh, well at least he made 49 points.

Get the hangmens noose out, a lot of fans here are calling for Mike D'antoni's head. I was at the game last night and it was the worst game I have ever seen them play in four years. They went out there and expected things to be taken care of since they were at home. They played with no heart and no passion. It was a joke
