  • youtube and video quality

My videos are always fuzzy on youtube. I never thought much about it, because they were often fuzzy on my computer. However, I just got an HD camera. The pictures on my computer and tv are crystal clear, but the youtube versions are really fuzzy.

So, my question...what software, technique or tricks are there to get clear youtube uploads. I know it can be done. I see videos people have put up shot with the same camera I have.....I just don't know how to do it.

Good question. My biggest problem with youtube is the sound or lack of.

I found a youtube video explaining how the guy did it. He used movie maker. I used movie maker live. I have not tried it in my other editing software yet. I had to change the aspect ration to widescreen 16:9 and I had to covert the mp4 video file into a wmv. If I pull the file into movie maker live raw the sound is messed up, but coverting it first works. Now the videos are clear on youtube and the sound is fine too.

When they first get uploaded they look fuzzy, then after a while they get clear and in several hours youtube puts the HD next to it. I think that's all a youtube issue/thing though.
