  • Opening the case of a Seagate GoFlex Desk?

anyone know how to open the case of a Seagate GoFlex Desk?

I bought a 2 TB USB model to back up my computer when I upgraded from Vista to Win7. I noticed that the connectors to the base are the same as standard SATA and power connectors but slot in the case prevents the cable to seat.

I found an article on the web that said you can pry the case apart, but I haven't found a way to do that. I don't want to damage the case yet. I just wanted to see how it ran with the SATA connection before I abandoned the USB base.

another option would be to buy a firewire base or a USB 3 base.
