  • Tapin from the TV with 2 VCRs?

So, is it possible to tape 2 different cable shows using two VRCs? If I had some kind of spliiter possibly? Our cable just plugs into the TV - we don't use a box. We do hae one set of plugs to isn't being usec ATM.

    thanks.

(and no, any type of DVR isn't in the budget right now, unfortunately!)

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Depends on what you want to record. If the channel is within the tuning range of the VCR, you can tape two programs at the same time using a splitter. You can get the needed stuff at Target or WalMart.

So I can't have the cable feed go to both VCRs and the TV at once?

        Yes, do this:

        1. Put the Cable from the Wall Jack into the IN on the first VCR.
        2. Get a coaxial cable to go from the OUT on the first VCR, to the IN on the second VCR.
        3. Put another coaxial cable from the OUT on the second VCR, to the IN on the TV.

This will allow you to record the same channel (set both VCRs to different channels), and you can also view a different channel on the Television as well. Just make sure that the TV/VCR mode is set to TV on both VCRs.

^^ Yep, that's what I used to do in my pre DVR days. No need for a splitter. Just make sure your coaxial cables or good quality or it will effect your reception.

I would assume you could do this with as many VCR's as you needed.
