I saw some where there was a puppy or something that you put your ipod on and it dances and such and you can hear the music thru it. but I can not figure out the name. anyone here know what its called? thanks

Is this the one?? I've seen them other places besides Sharper Image... I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Target or BestBuy... will have to do some more research.. -

Do you know how much you can put on an ipod nano 1 gb
She got the 1 gb but then I found the new ipod nanos that have 2 gb so I bought her that and kept the 1gb for me. I want to acually listen to a book on it, but will a 1 gb nano ipod hold this much?
I have not even opened the box yet, I am nervous about how to begin the down loads etc.Comment

2 GB is about 500 songs according to Apple's website. 4GB is around 1,000. Numbers are estimates, as longer or larger songs will take up more of the drive "real estate."Comment

:lol: Now that is a question I don't have an answer too!! Apple just focuses on music because of thier iTunes store. I'm not sure about audio books. It depends on the size. There are about 1000 KB per 1 GB.... so if the audio book was say... 512 KB you would have room for one book and maybe some tunes. I'll have to look up the file size of audio books, I've never dealt with those!Comment

oh thank you Pengy, you seem to be the one to ask as you know how to find this info. I so want to listen to books on my ipod nano, this would be so totally cool! now I wish I had the money to buy those 8gb ones they would hold so much more.

From what I saw the size of the file depends on the lenght of the book. The longer the book the bigger the file of course, and then you get into quality of the file and bit rates and.... yeah... we won't go there. Keep it simple and basic.One hour of audio is approximately equal to 14MB. Books are delivered to the end user in segments, with a maximum segment size of 17MB. The number of segments per book depends, of course, on the length of the book.
Burning the book onto a CD is technically possible I think. I think it will depend on the type of file the books are in and copywrite issues. Here is one website that has some info... Again... this isen't something I've ever dealt with myself, but I hope this helps somewhat!!!
