How much video can I get on 1 GB card?

I really want to get video this next trip, but do not know how to go about it. I bought a 1 GB memory card, how much video can I get on it? I also have 2 256 SD cards but know they do not hold much so I will use these for pictures.
How big of a card do you all use for video on your small camera's?

All depends on your settings and the type of camera you use.

I have a 5MP Canon Elph and with a 1GB card and video set at 640x480 at 30fps I can get 8 1/2 minutes of video but I'm gonna go with 15fps and I can get almost 17 minutes. I have 3 1GB cards and a new iPod with the camera connector so I'm gonna be able to shoot about 10 gigs of video and pics. The 1GB cards are cheap too. I can get them for about $20 and under on Amazon shipped.

You could practice at home before you go. Take some video as if you're a tourist in your own hometown, and see how much you can get. Then post it on Youtube, and we can see your hometown thru your eyes! I can hardly wait!

I'm not sure. I rarely used my olympus for video. My video cam records on tapes.

I get 21 or 23 min on my 512 card. I have 2 of them but i'm upgrading to 2 gb for my WDW trip since i can't dl any pics until I get back!!

With my Sony W5, I just bought a 1 gig card. When I changed it to video mode, it "said" on the screen that it would have 45 minutes.

On my last trip, i was afraid of using up all my memory cards, so I got the Apple Camera adapter for my ipod. It transfered all my pictures to my ipod and free up my cards. I know you are doing video, but at least that way you have the cards just for video. That, and counting on having an ipod.
