iPod Rant

I finally, after years of laughter from many, upgraded my iPod from Gen1 to the new Video iPod and now I want the head of the "brain" who decided that Firewire should not be compatible with iPods! Seriously, whoever that moron was needs to be beaten, fired, and then beaten by those of us who use and love Firewire for all our transferance of files.

Grumble grumble! Either I put out the money to get a USB 2.0 card or I deal with hideous download times. Give me a break!!! Personally, I am going to stick to my Firewire for recharging the new iPod (perfectly acceptable even with file transfer not, go figure!) and head back to my friends at the Apple Store and give them a piece of my mind for SELLING ME THE CABLE SPECIFIC TO THIS GENERATION iPOD!

Anyone else want to meet up for a "Beat the Apple Moron Who Felt Firewire Was Wasted On iPod File Transfers" meet and beat?? :!$#%: :mob: :bash:

Oh yeah, for those of you who think I am actually gonna beat someone... not gonna happen. Not worth the possibility of hurting my hands outside of work or hockey.

I have an iPod, though I am still pissed at Apple for not replacing their faulty product. I had to shell out another 300 bucks because I apparently "pryed" or "pried" I really don't care what the word is, but they said I opened it up.

Um, yeah! I love to open up 300 dollar mini computers and **** around with the little doodads and gizmos inside.

Indeed yes. It was easier and faster to download tunes, not to mention video, movies, etc with my old ipod using firewire. NOW....even shorter TV shows and vodcasts take upwards of 1/2 an hour! :bash:

And you're not supposed to say "ipod" around Tui or something bad will happen...

USB 2.0 is better than firewire. So get used to it.

Not necessarily. I would say they're pretty much the same although there are jobs that are better suited for one or the other.

Add finicky Gen 2 iPods to the mix. Mine corrupted itself, and now will only work on a Mac after being restored.

I'm more annoyed that I spend $500 on the 60 gig video iPod in Feb. and now they offer an 80 gig for $350! (I still love my iPod though)

I love to watch movies and tv shows on it.

I agree on dl time and battery life.

Agreed. Ive only had mine for about 6 months and already the battery is almost dead after a short time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with battery life problems, but upset and angry that it is a problem.
