  • Compressing Video

    Hi everybody,

Just recently finished editing my first video ever. It's from MNSSHP with the micechatters.

The problem is the video is 1.91 GB. The video itself is 9 minutes. I guess I can break the video up into 2 segments, but I still know it's possible to get it smaller than this.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

    Re: Compressing Video

Check out VLC at http://www.videolan.org/ . this is free software that will help you change the format or compress your video. It is written for Mac or Windows or Linux. I use this wizard all the time to create mp4 files with VLC.

The tool is also useful for streaming, but I know nothing about that. I only mention it because a lot of the documentation is about that process.

    Hope this helps!
