  • Sharing Between Computers...

Since my other drive is kaput, my roommate is letting me use her computer to get the pics off of my digital camera. Yay!

But i am having a problem with getting them from her computer to mine.

Because we have different Windows systems, I'd have to create a disk to allow home networking between them.

I made a zip of some - E-mailing, uploading them to my Web site, even doing megaupload and the like are taking forever to send them.

Is there a better solution? Should I just zip fewer? Upload then download them 1 at a time?

Last hope is to just edit and upload them to my flickr from her computer, and have her burn them off - but I'm trying not take advantage or use up her computer time.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

if they are just jogs any computer should read them. I use to work on the same projects on windows at home and macs at school. Can you burn them to a cd or use a flash/jump/thumb drive? The easiest way is to network the comuters.

My CD burner isn't working, either, so I don't know if I could use them in the regular CD drive (that SHOULD be working) to take them from her burner to my computer?

We don't have any jump or flash drives.

and I'd rather not try to figure how how to create a disk to network them together.

You can get thumb drives pretty cheap now days. I would use that route and they are nice to have around for a back up too.

        Good Luck!

yes, you can burn it on one computer and read it on the other computer.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 256mb flash drive at traget for $17.99. It was for networking the computers, but then I found out I didn't need it.

I think burbing the cd would be the easiest route..

how about uploading them to photopucket, or webshots? and then retrieve them
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

The issue w/uploading is that there are several hundred of them, all huge, so to upload then redownload would take forever and they'd get resized (but not cropped as some needed to be).

But the burning worked fine and as a bonus, they're already burned so I can just delete them off my hard drive!
