  • ATT New Nokia 6126, Battery Lasts 12 Hours?

I am no phone expert, but I just used my first charge of my phone, and it lasted less than 12 hours. Does that sound about right? I maybe spoke for 45 minutes, and did moderate texting. Could I have a lemon on my hands?

Thanks for any and all advice. I like the phone otherwise, but if it is a stinker, I need to get rid of it sooner rather then later. I bought it online, so does that mean I cannot go to a Cingular store and swap it out?

I would definitely change it. 12 hours of standby time is nothing.

Some phones you need to charge and completely drain the battery a few times before you get the maximum charge out of it. But it sounds like you might have a bad battery.

Thanks guys, I went to a few different stores until I found one, and had it swapped out.

I will also adjust settings to it doesn't eat as much battery, as well. As a default, it is set to vibrate/ring, light alert, etc. That is a lot of crap which just kills batteries.

On a side note, the store employee said there is a 16 gig iPHONE coming out for Christmas. I take that with more than a grain of salt, since I didn't read that here, yet. Anyone heard anything reliable about a bigger iPHONE?
