  • 16 gig iPhone and 32 gig iPod Touch RELEASED!

Check out apple.com, the new iPod 32gig is 499$, while the 16gig iPhone is also 499$.
Makes my 8gig iPod Touch seem outdated, oh well, i still love it.

All I can say is Wow!!

The price is a bit stiff, but not for what you get. If I did not already have a 16GB iPod Touch, I would probably get the 32 GB Touch.

Lots of choices, lots of choices...

Just waiting for an iMac refresh...

Perhaps this will move the Iphone 8GB into realistic pricing for the 'rest of us'

Way too rich for my blood. I'll keep my Blackberry and 2nd generation 4GB iPod Nano, thankyaverramuch.

I know that the 16 GB iPhone is cool and all, but I am quite happy with my 8 GB iPhone.

The Apple website isn't clear about if it is an Edge or a 3G phone. All I see is them touting the WiFi, which, unless you have access to Wi-Fi, doesn't really do much for the phone.

If it was 3G, you'd know (they'd be making a big deal out of it). This is still an Edge phone.

I figured, I just didn't see anything about it. I am fine with the Edge network. I rarely have problems with connection speeds.

This kills me. I just got a 16gb touch for Christmas and it's nearly full.

Still looking for 3G! Then I'm definitely trading up lol.

'Soul' - My thoughts are Apple released the 16GB iPhone, just in time for Valentine's Day, then either after summer/before Xmas release a 3G w/ 32GB or higher.

The Garmin phone looks interesting and is suppose to come out around Sept. '08. If it's about the same price as the iPhone, I'll get one for my wife and I'll keep my 8GB iPhone.

What to do, what to do?

I so desperately need a new phone and want an iPhone. Do I want to wait and see if they release a 3G in a few months or just bite the bullet and do it now? And will they reduce the price of the 16GB in the near future?

                          I'm more confused than ever.

It wasn't me, it was Lisa!

Earkid, I paid $400 for an 8 GB iPhone. $500 for twice the capacity is a good price. A day has yet to pass that I am not completely satisfied with my iPhone purchase. I am ok with the Edge network. The iPhone does have its quirks, but they are much fewer than any other cell phone I have owned.

I agree. I paid over $600 for my 8GB, and even though the 16GB is still cheaper than what I paid originally, I'm still very happy with my purchase.

That could be because after showing my phone to so many people, I've made a nice bit of commission from them buying an iPhone through me lol.

I wouldn't be surprised though, if the next gen iPhone has 32GB and 3G among other goodies.
