News Haunt 2012 Updates

So I decided to clean up and create a new thread with all of the information we have received for this years Halloween Haunt at Knott's Berry Farm.

*Haunt opens Friday September 21st, 2012.
*The icon for the 40th anniversary is the Green Witch. Her and her tricksters will be terrorizing the streets of Halloween Haunt.

*Maze line up:
- Lazer Tag Arena: "Trapped" VIP/Interactive Maze
- Bumper Cars: "Dia De Los Muertos"
- Fiesta Village: "Virus Z"
- The Lake: "Fallout Shelter"
- Main Gate: "Slaughterhouse"
- Mystery Lodge: "Terror of London"
- Under Xcelerator: "Uncle Bobo's"
- Warehouse A: "Dominion of the Dead"
- Warehouse B: "Delirium"
- Warehouse C: "Endgames"
- Warehouse D: "Trick-Or-Treat"
- Wilderness Dance Hall: "Pinocchio Unstrung"
* Trapped, price is $60 for a group of six of you and friends with a reservation. $75 for a group of six if you pay on the day of.

*Show line up:
- The Hanging, parody show (Calico Square)
- Midnight Witch Hanging (UNK)
- Blood Drums (Necropolis Stage "Camp Snoopy")
- The Gypsy show (the name slipped my mind, my apologies)
- Ed Alonzos Funhouse (Shulz Theater)
- Zamora (Birdcage Theater)
- Tonga Tiki Terror (Boardwalk Ballroom)
- Haunt: Unearthed (UNK, possibly inside of Mystery Lodge)

Haunt is Friday and Saturday in September starting on the 21st,
then will be every Thursday - Sunday in October, and October 30th - 31st.

*Wednesday October 24th is Scion Night, drive a Scion and get into Haunt for free (Thats how it worked last year, probably the same for the 40th)

Any further updates for the 40th will be posted on this thread. I will also accept any rumors that are going around : )

Trick or treat is $10 and the mask looks like some kinda thin cardboard on a stick. I was expecting a plastic one with a strap on the back. But it also comes with a bag filled with 40th anniversary stuff. Idk how this will work out tho, it sounds weird

I thought there was not going to be an overlay for the log ride or the mine ride this year. So now that has changed?

The Trick Or Treat bags are an optional purchase. You do NOT need to purchase them to get into the Trick Or Treat maze. The "TRAPPED" maze is the only one where it is an up charge of $60 and you can get a group of 6 together then it's only $10 per person. I think you have things confused.

Thank you for clarifying! I must've been drinking when I wrote that. Lol I totally meant Tapped lol. I'm going to edit that to avoid any confusion.

On a side note, we are still waiting on the theme for the Mine Ride overlay.

They announced that they would not use talent in them as a maze, but both rides would get some type of themed overlay for Haunt.

just as an FYI if you happen to go by Knott's before Haunt starts, they've put up an amazing looking display of Trick or Treat in one of the Virginia's Gift Shop windows. Its really awesome

Sorry I don't have any photos, but the Virginia's window does look pretty good with 2-D Tricksters inside. I'll see if I can grab a few shots.

Hello Mice-Chatters! Is there anyone else out there going to the 9/22 Knott's Scary Farm event, but missed out on tix for the " Trapped" maze? I really want to experience it, but as I'm travelling solo, the $60 fee would be a bit much. If anyone has already purchased this add-on but has less than 6, or your group of 5 or less wants to go on it, please respond! (Mice Chat's 12:30-1AM window time is no longer available on Knott's site, but times before & after are.)

Well, that would make our group 3, $20 per person. In the name of full disclosure, I did receive this reply when inquiring about the possibility of MiceChat being able to secure add'l Trapped reservations: Wedon't have the confirmation from Knott's yet on the extra Trapped tickets. But we do expect that there will be more made available to us at the end of the evening. The $20 fee would be acceptable to me, and since you would be the majority, you could choose the 1/2 hr time window. Or we could wait to see if more are interested, or if MiceChat is able to get them. In any case, good luck & see you Sat 9/22!
