  • [Question] soak city... OC or palm springs?

we're planning a trip to SoCal next may, staying in anaheim... and i'm planning on meeting up with my sister who lives in palm springs. would it be better for me to drive up and meet her at the soak city there, or have her meet us at the soak city in OC? which park is better and why?

    thanks in advance!

For what it's worth, Cedar Fair is selling the Palm Springs location

This may or may not impact operations next year, but it'd be good to clear that up before you commit to visiting. Or it may push your decision to OC. Up to you

would changing hands affect the slides themselves?

        Maybe?

There's an article on a West Coast Coaster Website that apparently even the NAME can't be linked or used from here, sorry about that but you should be able to search it up. The article covers a bit of the transition, including the purchaser's plan for operators.

From that, the statement is that the park's operations are being turned over to Premier, the current operators of Six Flags. I would guess your opinion on their management will probably be the best gauge.

I'd say I'd trust the slides this last season and then afterwards not ride anything more than two seasons old. But I'm also not a fan of Premier's treatment of the SFMM coasters, YMMV.

hmm, that's a tough call, as i've never been to six flags, or any of the knott's properties... i just thought a day of waterpark fun would be good to slide in the trip plans!
