The Christmas pizza, with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce looks really interesting and worth a try.

Really love the whole atmosphere during the holidays, especially in Ghost Town, with the Victorian carolers, holiday lighting, Santa's cabin, and seasonal treats!

Here’s a first look at Knott’s Merry Farm

A Peanuts Guide To Christmas is one of the many shows for the holiday season. Knott's Merry Farm opened today in Buena Park with a jingle, as the park’s holiday celebration offers a mix of longtime favorites and a few new twists.

Even before you enter Santa’s Christmas Cabin you can smell a mixture of sweet and savory treats. Inside you can find kettle corn, peppermint cotton candy, cookies and a chocolate fountain. There are also chicken and beef tamales with your choice of green or red sauce (or both), candy cane shaped churros stuffed with peppermint cream, nutella crepes with a lattice of boysenberry and raspberry sauce and New York style cheesecake dipped in chocolate and bearing a splash of crushed peppermint.

An assortment of beverages is offered as well, with a souvenir hot cup the best deal. For $10.99 it comes filled with hot chocolate with mini marshmallows or coffee and the refills are free the rest of the day and $1 each whenever you return to Merry Farm.

If you’re adventurous, try the Christmas pizza, which is available at Hollywood Hits. Its Knott’s-made dough is topped with gravy, yams, cranberry sauce, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, turkey and ham. It is surprisingly good putting all the tastes of the holidays in your mouth at once.

In Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, next door to the cabin where Santa listens to children’s wishes, you may decorate cookies for $5.99. Kelvin Chu, 4, and his father Hyurn Chu of Honolulu, were working on a big sugar cookie using lots of red and blue icing as mom snapped photos

Outside people were shopping in the Calico Christmas Crafts Village. This year there are new vendors, along with returning favorites, offering a large selection of handmade items, such as woodcrafts, baskets, jewelry, prints, knit hats, fudge and seasonal decor. Many of the wares may also be personalized.

At the Camp Snoopy Theater is the show, “A Peanuts Guide to Christmas., a song-and-dance revue starring the Peanuts characters sparked up with their wit and wisdom. They teach the audience how to write a letter to Santa and give the perfect gift and share a very funny rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”

The one must-see at Merry Farm is the ice skating show, “Merry Christmas Snoopy!,” at the Charles M. Schultz Theatre. Yes, the Peanuts characters are there to charm the kids, but the skating choreography is what is most impressive. Popular holiday music and world class ice skating is broken up by short Peanuts vignettes and there’s snow too.

Other seasonal shows at Merry Farm include “It’s The Merriest Christmas Show Ever, Charlie Brown,” at the Calico Mine Stage, Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” O. Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi” and Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies performing in the Bird Cage Theatre and the Calico Saloon “Christmas Show.” There is also music and snow and a tree lighting ceremony every evening.
