  • USH Animal Planet Live - Beethoven?

Has anyone seen Animal Planet Live at Universal Studios Hollywood lately?

I haven't seen it in a few years. Do it still include Beethoven (the St. Bernard from the Universal films?)

I caught the show in August. They don't have the dog from Beethoven anymore. The show mostly revolved around a monkey.

Re: USH Animal Planet Live - Beethoven?

i saw it a few months ago after not seeing it in years, and the show seemed a lot shorter than i remembered. i wasn't really impressed, i think it took longer to sit the audience and empty out the theater than the show.

^ I thought the same thing after we last saw it. I was expecting ALOT more. The Pet's show at Sea World is MUCH better.

USF's has more show i think... cause i remember beethoven... but it has ben a while... i don't know why USH would cut their show down... unless they had problems getting animals...

Re: USH Animal Planet Live - Beethoven?

We just saw it last w/e. It had been a couple of years since we last saw it (boring) so we thought that we would give it another try.

Nope...Not worth seeing. Monkey and a bird. Even our kids were bored.

That's a shame. It used to be really entertaining. They even used to bring in star animals (or so they said) from TV shows/movies. You could pet the animals after the show and take pics with them. No more...

Actually, I disagree with much of the above. Okay, the show is a bit short, but the pacing is very tight... those animals have their cues down. Compared to the show I saw at Sea World, it felt like forever for "chase" scenes to happen. I mean, a cat would run across the stage... long pause... then a dog ran across the stage... long pause... then a pig ran across the stage... long pause... I think you get the idea. While USH's eliminates all the pauses. And when a show is tighted up, of course it's going to fly by.

Do I think USH could add more to their show? Sure. But I still liked it a whole lot better than Sea World's.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?
