  • Trip Report 2010 Oktoberfest at Delaware Saengerbund

    :ghug:

    Hello MiceChatters!

Today I attended the 2010 Oktoberfest at Delaware Saengerbund. I had a great time. One of the events that I actually love in the State of Delaware and enjoyed watching the "Pink Elephants on Parade" afterwards.

I had a great meal, drank some beir, & enjoyed watching the german dancing.

I hope you enjoy my pictures of my visit.

    -Hayley B.

    The Logo

    German Band warming up.

    German Dancers.

    The Menu.

German Food. I had a Weisswurst (veal sausage) , Potato Salad (served cold), & Kraut. Also a Beck's Oktoberfest as the drink.

For my dessert. A Black Forest Cake.

A Oktoberfest at Delaware Saengerbund cup w/ beir. It wasn't Beck's Oktoberfest this time . It was called Hacker-Pscherr Oktoberfest. It was way better then Beck's Oktoberfest, imo.

    People doing the "Chicken Dance".

    Some rides at the Oktoberfest.

A 2010 Oktoberfest at Delaware Saengerbund Festival Guide.

A shirt that I bought at the Oktoberfest.

    -----

I hope you have enjoyed viewing my 2010 Oktoberfest at Delaware visit. Thank you for stopping by.

    The End

    -Hayley B.

Oh it was! It was a very good cake. Cost 3.50 because it was a torte (fancy cake). But well worth it.

Looks like a lot of fun!!!
          Good morning, son
          In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
          It was pain
          Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Great job Hayley. It reminds me of some of the Polish Picnics that I attended with my mom when I was a kid. They were a lot of fun. A lot of Polka music was played.

I'm sure that was alot of fun. When I was a kid. I use to goto this place with my grandmother and couple of people from her side of the family to this Scottish Days. It would celebrate Scotland. That use to be big and fun. I miss that. It was a place in Maryland.

Yeah, I don't really get that either. I wonder when places in California celebrate it? I've been told there is a place in Anaheim that does and also in Huntington Beach.

Both cities have Oktoberfest going on right now. In Huntington Beach it is held at Old World Village near Golden West College. In Anaheim it is held at the Phoenix Club which is off of Ball Rd north of Angel Stadium.

Looks like a lot of fun out there too!

Thank you for the info. I'm going to look up the "Phoenix Club" someday on Google Map.

I just showed my mother this thread. Because I was playing with my brother Andy's phone. I was trying to learn how to use the internet with it.

My mother said that I took nice pictures.
