  • Knott's Halloween Haunt - How to get Discounts and the prices

Knott's Scary Farm is being held from September 28th thru October 31st.

The Day of Price is $49 per person (no child discount, as the event is not recommended for children).

You can save $5 by going to the park in advance, and buying it in advance (no coupon needed).

But the BEST deals are with a coupon from a Southern California Burger King.

Knott's offers different levels of discounts based on how busy they think the park will be, the busier they think, the more you will pay.

    The Best price is $28 on September 28th - October 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th and 30th.

    $30 on September 29th, 30th - October 5th and 18th

    $34 on October 6th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, 29th and 31st.

    $39 on October 7th, 13th, 14th 20th and 27th.

With the Burger King Coupon, you can use it on the Day of the event, but sales stop when the event is sold out.

The best deal you can get on the two most popular nights, October 21st and 28th is the $5 off by buying it in advance.

You can also buy tickets at a discount thru Ticketmaster at

    www.ticketmaster.com/knotts

With the special promotional code "BKING", you will get the same prices mentioned above, but you will pay over $5 extra a ticket in a surcharge, and if there is enough time, you can have them mailed to you for free, or pay $2.50 to use the Print at Home option.

So go grab a coupon at Burger King.....

And if anyone can't get a coupon, let me know, as I have a few extras...

Thanks for giving us the heads up!!

And slightly OT...the Buffett that they offer prior to park opening is pretty dang good, IMHO. I believe it's somewhere between $12-$14something and it's an all you can eat fried chicken dinner. If memory serves me right, you need to pre-purchase your admission into this, so do a little research and find out how.

Yes, the "Pre-Scare" Dinners will be offered, I don't have the details yet, but they will be offered in multiple locations, the most expensive and popular is the one inside the park at the Auntie Pasta Restaurant, they also hold them at the Picnic Area and at the Hotel. All you can eat food, and early entry into the park. Usually around $20 a person.

You can call the Halloween Haunt Information line at (714) 220-5000 for more info.

Also, Knott's will offer the "Haunted Dreams" package for two.

You get 1 night at the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel (Standard room for 2 persons)

      2 tickets to Halloween Haunt

2 Pre Scare Dinners at Hotel Restaurant

      2 Halloween Haunt T-Shirts

      2 Breakfast Buffets

      Complimentary Hotel Parking.

The Package is $249 for weekdays, $299 for Friday and Saturday night stays.

You can call the hotel at (714) 995-1111 or (866) 752-2444 and mention "Haunted Dreams". Other packages are available.

Re: Knott's Halloween Haunt - How to get Discounts and the prices

the one at Auntie Pasta's is the VIP pre-scare buffet and its 15.95

the reg pre-scare buffet is across the street at the picnic venue and its 12.95.....
...trust me the VIP one is better! but they both have boysenberry punch and Mrs. Knotts fried chicken, which are all that really matters

dont' bother with the hotel packages, you save money by buying everything seperately

and bring on the Haunt This will be me and my husbands 9th year of traveling down for our DLR/Haunt october holiday...we wouldnt' miss it for the world
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

I didn't know about the VIP one. I still loved the fact that with the picnic venue one, you got early entry into the park.

Oh yeah...best thing to do with boysenberry punch....do a little more than half of that, and then fill up the rest of your cup with Sprite. You won't be sorry.

This is going to be my first year going to Haunt, and I think Knott's AP holders get a discounted price too, right? Any clue how much those are?

All this talk about the Halloween Haunt and boysenberry punch is making me sad!

I miss the Haunt. We'd always go in the morning and do the roller coasters and rides that weren't haunted, and then we'd have Mrs. Knott's for dinner and then go in for the Haunt and hit all the mazes and haunted rides.

Yes, AP holders should be getting a flyer in the mail shortly, which will have a coupon for selected days. The price will be less than the above Burger King prices. (But only by a few dollars)

As soon as I get mine, I will post the info.

Were still trying to figure out if we are going to make Haunt this year ... we didn't go last year.

We should set up an MC meet.

I am so excited for Haunt! We are going October 28th! We are going to try the pre-scare dinner inside the park for the first time this year. I tried calling for tickets and they said they should be on sale next week. I love the chicken dinner and it will be nice to get in a little early and not bother with the huge masses trying to get in!

Lisa and I are going Sunday, October 1st as part of a coaster group (ACE), it includes the VIP dinner, and backstage access

hubby and I did haunt and the VIP dinner last year and had the best time, and I just went down last week with my burger king coupon and paid $28 for each ticket ( we are taking our teenage duaghter and hubbys brother), we are going on Oct 1, we like to go the first week, since it isnt as crowded.

The VIP dinner is the best, the food is great!!! We are going to do it again this year.

This is going to be my first year going to Haunt
my best advice to you as this is your first year: get the early entrance with the pre-scare buffet, either the VIP or the regular and dont' go on any of the "normal" rides. those rides are there all year long and since your a passholder, you can ride them anytime. the mazes and rethemed rides and shows are only there for haunt and those should be your main focus.

the biggest mistake first year people make is "oh, let's go on Ghostrider!"

oh, and my own personal advice, skip Deal Idol Live! which is the show in the Charles Shultz theater this year, those shows are mostly crud (note: i said mostly!) I highly recommend: The Hanging (its tradition for gods sake! although i do miss the processional and when they actually used to hang a witch), Hacks! (this improv troupe features some of the guys who do the show in front of the Golden Horseshoe and was by far the funniest most enjoyable show last year, we went three nights to Haunt and saw this show 6 times over those nights), and Marty Putz' Prank Party (Chubby Bunny at its BEST)

We're going to Haunt (hopefully, still waiting to hear from my husband's work on which days he can take off) Thursday the 12th, Friday the 13th (i hate going on friday or saturday nights, but this is a MnG w/the people from a Haunt fan site), and Sunday the 15th.

oh yeah, if you are going to Haunt only one night, and its your first time to ever go, try to avoid Friday or Saturday nights-they're overcrowded, and the Sunday night before Columbus day is a bear too becuase kids are out of school the next day.

                            The Haunt is great!

I would suggest to go early in the month, the crowds are bigger toward the end. Also whatever night you go get there early.

Not intrested in the pre-scare dinner (I don't like things with bones in them including fried chiken grosses me out more then blood and guts) I just went this past thursday and literally walked on to everything (Ghostrider had a literally empty platform and was only running one train, so no need for the redundant rides.

I'm thinking of going on Sept 28 (the day after my birthday)
and maybe one other wed/thur night, the other reason I won't need to spend the extra money on the pre-scare dinner) so I won't have to worry about missing things.

                              Thanks for the advise though.

If you go on a slow night (ie: Weds, Thurs, Sun) you don't really need the early entrance, i agree. For us its just a 9 year tradition I dont' wanna break

Also for everyone, if you are planning on going on a Friday or Saturday night:
                                1. be prepared for out of control brats in the park
                                2. be prepared for hour+ waits to get into the mazes
                                3. buy your tickets in advance, becuase these are the nights that sell out when they do have sell outs
                                4. if a friday or saturday night is the only time you can go, GO! don't miss out on Haunt, it f'ing rules

We always go on Friday or Saturday (usually Saturday) towards the end of the month and although it is crowded I have never had to wait an hour for any maze. The lines are continuously moving, so even when they are long they go by quickly. The rides are a different story. Last year my friends (not me) waited 2 hours for Xcelerator. Getting in takes forever also, that is why we are doing the dinner.

I also feel that the people that are there are a little better than a regular day at Knott's. It attracts an older crowd and I think the price deters many kids/teens.

                                    Can't wait!
