Re: Going to Magic Mountain in a 1 1/2 weeks. any Tips?
If you're into big roller coasters my faves are in order:
1)Xcelerator-an insane experience!
2)Tatsu-brand new this summer and crazy!
3)Riddler's Revenge
4)Scream!
5)De ja vu
6)Colossus (no flips or corkscrews but a lot of good dips)
7)Superman (straight up and down!)
8)Viper (it kind of bumps your head back and forth and gives you a head ache)
9)Batman (this one makes me a little sick so I don't usually go on it)
Oh yeah!! Have some funnel cake before you leave the park!
My best score ever!

Hmm - I'd suggest reading this thread:
Lots of good info in it. Also keep in mind that SFMM is now operating under Fall Hours so they're only open on weekends. Go Sunday instead of Saturday if you can, and get there as close to park opening as you can.
Unfortunately, X hasn't been working lately - but if it is, make sure you go on it. It's the only coaster of its kind anywhere and it's indescribable - a very fun, wild ride. She did it!

Not sure if X will be open, if it is head there FIRST.
Strongly think about paying the extra $$ and getting Flashpass for Tatsu, Riddlers, Goliath, etc. If X isn't open go to Tatsu first. The ride loads quickly but the crew there is TERRIBLE!!!!
And yeah, try to go on a Sunday instead of Saturday. Post what day you are going, we were thinking of heading up one day next weekend.

Re: Going to Magic Mountain in a 1 1/2 weeks. any Tips?
We arrived at 9:30AM on a Saturday in August and at opening rode, in this order, Goliath, Scream, Batman, Riddler (twice-front and back), Deja Vu (single rider), Goldrusher, Superman and Ninja. We never waited more than 5 trains to get on any of them. Used FP for Tatsu. Rode it front seat on the third train the next day, and the line was already enormous when we got off. It's either be one of the very first, wait a long time or shell out for FP with that one. The Batman show surpassed expectations. Have fun.

Just be prepared for abysmal customer service, long lines that could be mitigated by a compentent staff that ran that maximum number of trains for a coaster, and high prices for everything.
My best score ever!
