  • Camp Snoopy at Knott's Great America

If or when Great America name changes to Knott's Great America will the Nickelodeon Central area be rethemed to a Camp Snoopy area since Niceldoeon is owned by Paramount? they could also include the Kidzville area in the change.

Yes. It would be that way at all Knott's/Cedar Fair parks because Dorney uses the Peanuts characters.

Ironic, isn't it, that the orignal Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America in Minnesota is going to become Nickelodeon Universe and folks are discussing the possibilities of Nickelodeon lands becoming Camp Snoopys. What a strange world we live in.

hold on for a second, let's remember that cedar fair has the option to renew the contract for nick in 2010. It would be a bad idea not to renew because nickelodeon is way more relevant to today's children than snoopy. Yes, snoopy does not cost anything, but nickelodeon will draw more people than snoopy.

Cedar Fair is slowly taking Paramount name of Great America... But I sincerely doubt that they will associate it with Knotts...

Few Bay Area folks could divorce the name Marriott's off Great America... In fact, I am sure there are many who still just call it "Marriott's." And they sold the property how many years ago? 20 some odd...

What I am surprised about is that Cedar Fair seems to be waiting on incorporating Sponge Bob and Scoobi Doo at Knott's Berry Farm...

Yeah, well up here we have The Charles Schultz Ice Rink (aka: Snoopy's Home Ice) and Museum in Santa Rosa... (He was a resident of Sebastapol, CA...)

If it is a park in the bay area, it should be one in the north bay...

Cedar Fair has five years left with Nickelodeon so I don't see Nick going any where soon. Also alot of kids know who the Nick toons are right now.

Someone asked about Top Gun. Yes the coaster will get a new name like the one here in Ohio. I am not sure what the name will be at this time. It might be changed in the off season.

^^^^actually, universal's contract with nickelodeon runs out in almost three years i think, so the parks from cedar fair will be the only place for nickelodeon in america beside nick-u. Universal has shrek, woody woodpecker, the simpsons, and harry potter. I think they will be fine about letting nick go.

That's sooo true! My partner and I were discussing this article and called the park simply "Marriott's!" Wow! Has it really been 20 years? Uhhh!

We live in the Bay Area and you're absolutely correct!

They are changing the name of Top Gun at King's Island? I haven't heard about this and I live 15 minutes from the park and have a gold pass!

If they changed all the ride names that have to do with a paramount movie (face/off, Italian Job Stunt Track) then they would have to re-name quite a few rides.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban
