  • Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride

How intense is this rollar coaster? I will be going to Universal Studios in a couple of days, and I would like to know how intense it is. Are there a lot of drops? How steep? Is it more or less intense than California Screamin? The drop on California Screamin' isn't too bad for me, and the rest of the ride is OK.

Are there any loops in the ride?

A few turns, hills and valleys, but no loops.

It's over before you know it.

    Enjoy!

IMO it is much less intense than Screamin. It's a fun ride.

sadly i found it hideously boring when i rode it last october. it was just...blah, and the set decorations looked like they'd been spray painted on cardboard. i have absolutely no desire to ever ride it again, unless its a walkon
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

Shouldn't this be in the non-Disney parks section?

It's inside a building... The only saving grace is it is dark and misty, and you reverse course at one point and go backward. I rode it a couple of times, but the novelty wore off quickly.

I loved the ride. I have only been on it the one time, but I would do it again. I can see how the novelty of the ride could wear off fast, but the first ride is a good one!

The ride has a different feel depending where you sit on the car - there are 4 rows, seating is 4 across.
The newer ending effects sequence provides (imo) a better ending to the attraction, and if you're visiting in the next few days, you shouldn't have to wait very long.

The Floridia version is so much better. Either version is very very tame for a roller coaster though.

Agreed. It's a few rungs under California Screamin' but a little bit more than Big thunder. Regardless it is a very very smooth, albeit short coaster. The effects that are there are actually quite good though.

I can't speak for the Hollywood version, but I love the Florida version. I'm not much of a coaster fan to begin with however. I hate loops. This is about as intense as I like it. Its dark through much of it and there are some very fast and thrilling drops in Florida. I always exit with a big smile on my face. I've heard the one in Hollywood is quite a bit shorter however.
